AC has increased their international flights from 200 to 600 flights a week over the past month, I'm thinking it may be related to that because of course they, like most airlines had to lay staff off and by now many of them will have other jobs or decided to move on, and security screening for IDs and retraining takes time. They are also having to remove some services in order to have enough aeroplanes to cope with demand.

I just flew into Canada two weeks ago, and the problems with YYZ are NOT the fault of Air Canada but the Greater Toronto Airports Authority and Canada Immigration. Arrive at the wrong time, and due COVID protocols flights are not able to park, and not allowed to disembark passengers until space is available in the arrival hall. We should sympathise with the flight attendants who cannot disembark until all passengers are off the plane, which could be 4 hours after landing as they only allow about 50 passengers off at a time.

We are flying to LHR this coming Wednesday (steerage, er, economy class 😁) and you have given me a good clue as to the reason for the rather large number of delays happening to outbound flights…lack of ground crew primarily. This makes sense. We are flying to Toronto from Ottawa and that flight has been mostly on time. Understandable considering the smaller size of the Ottawa airport. Pre covid, there was a direct flight from Ottawa to Heathrow but sadly, Air Canada has not yet resumed that service. I can’t wait until they do. I have never flown business class but I have never had cause to fault the service in economy. I am looking forward to the 777, all of our previous flights to the UK have been on 767s that are now retired. Great video Noel. I look forward to the next one! Cheers!

I understand your frustration Noel, us Canadians are going through the same things right now. Edit: should add, when I flew from LaGuardia, I flew with Delta, and there were no such issues with them. I agree Noel - there does seem to be something missing in AC. Having flown AC business and Westjet business transatlantic in the last 2 months, I do feel like AC could do so much better for just a little more effort. The seats are more comfortable on AC with a wider footwell and have more adjustment and padding (as well as a mattress topper being provided) in contrast to WJ. Although my AC seat didnt feel like it went completely flat. However, WJ do away with that lump of a seatbelt airbag and have 3 point belts instead which improve the sleeping experience. I was disappointed to discover the onboard food/drink choices were limited/uninspiring on AC. Not even a pre-takeoff beverage! I was expecting icewine and other Canadian foods onboard AC given WJ had them. If you are flying AC business/signature on a red eye especially, I would suggest eating in the Signature lounge and giving the onboard evening meal a miss to maximise your sleep - the onboard meal service was slower than expected and eating into valuable sleep time being only a 6 hour YYZ-DUB flight. The Signature lounge was lovely and the concierges did a good job, although you could tell the lounge was underresourced as my food orders took a while and some items were missed altogether by the waiters/waitresses.

1. That “welcome” while boarding is what we get on WizzAir, a budget airline in Central Europe. That’s not what I expect while boarding full service airline’s business class, especially with an elderly looking gentleman who just arrived in a wheelchair. 2. The expected mask n bits with a signature from the chief medical whatever? Please. 3. Continue with the loo reviews, we like them! Happy landings!

2 things 1. Loo Reviews. If it is different or has an issue, show it. If not, don't. 2. Love your reviews and enjoy your vids always. But please, please, please is it possible to not repeat the airline and destination throughout. You are on the flight, we know which airline and where you are going. As I said, love your vids, fixing this would make it perfect.

No, keep. the lavatory reviews. It's part of the product, and a vital one. I've been on airliners where the lavatory floor has been awash with.. (yeah, you can imagine). On the other hand, if the lavatory is all good, show it anyway, as good effort should be rewarded with publicizing it. Besides, the Toilet Talks are also slightly amusing.

@@alphaomega3499 if it was awash, I would show it. What I said was if it is normal then not necessary. If it special or different or ... a catastrophe then do so.

Air Canada is an excellent airline , Covid is the problem not A/C .... put things in perspective . All airlines have delays and various problems .

Funny I just landed this morning from an air canada flight. (Montreal to Brussels) Overal our experience was a little bit better I think. The only GIANT problem was the fact that in both directions we could not get seated next to each other (we flew economy). It was as if Air Canada blocked certain seats to push us to pay extra for the premium seat selection. Other people around us had the exact same experience. Maybe something to check in one of your next videos :).

just buy two seperate tickets and then take seats next to each other, what's the problem?!

I think part of the problem is that travel agents still block buy seats on some flights. - I know some people are surprised that people are still using travel agents, but there are still people who find it worthwhile to pay a little extra for the service - although sometimes travel agents have bought early enough to have good deals and seats and have seats otherwise blocked as sold.

Having watched quite a few of your videos on business class on various airlines it does seem that most are about the same. Some offer better / more personalized / personable people and service than others, but it seems that for the most part, I think most are the same in terms of the seat and the arrangement. Where they tend to differ (and this is just my experience flying both business class at times and economy) is the level of service, and what is offered onboard, and not so much the seating arrangement or layout / amenities, etc. They're all about the same (except for short haul flights which are more or less just bigger comfier seats with more leg room, but no lie-flat beds). I'm actually wondering why almost nobody has lie-flat bed options perhaps without the extra service, for a more budget friendly price (and by that I mean not economy necesarily, but also not expensive like business class). Just a basic class with lie-flat beds without the bells and whistles for those who want to take an overnight flight and just sleep (and not watch movies or other stuff, just sleep and eat a meal). You are correct about the pricing in general. During COVID I was able to travel to many cities at cheap prices (most were about $100 or less for economy) and hotels were cheap too. Obviously the flip side was that almost nothing was open so it was all out-door activites away from people (like hiking or sight seeing in non-crowded areas) but I certain took advantage of it after the initial stay-at-home / bans were removed in 2021 but there were still restrictions in place (like gong to NYC from Chicago for 4 nights for about $600 with flights and 4 nights at a downtown hotel).

As a Canadian from Vancouver, What would make the experience on Air Canada more Canadian or set them apart? Real Maple syrup on French Toast? A Tenderloin from Alberta? I think the largest improvement this airline could make is punctuality IMO
