Omg I was scare my boyfriend would leave me when we found out I had cancer. He stayed by my side and now not even a year later I have to deal with it again. I have the most amazing family God could ever give and my boyfriend is amazing with helping while I am in the hospital with preparing meals for my children. I lost my husband too cancer and I stayed with him till the end I was his wife best friend and nurse. It's sad to have one parent have cancer then 11 years after losing that parent the other one is fighting cancer. My children were real young at the time with my husband being diagnosed one was 11 months and the other 11 years old. Today both are super strong and very supportive . I love all around me

Gina...I'm so glad you are doing well now. My guy left the day I found out I had cancer too. This song kept running through my mind and I was very surprised when I looked it up on youtube and read that it was written for exactly my place in life at the moment. This song hits me hard.....as my family was told ....I'd never get out of bed or walk again...that I was basically in a vegetative state after a major head injury.....what they didn't know was that I heard the doctors and I fought and came back.....opening my eyes to realize they had all walked away from me...and left me in the hospital...alone.....still hits me like a gunshot to my soul.....dang ....I thought they loved me.... now I know better.....closing the door to them was hard....but it's TRUE what they say....if it's too hard to love people....let them go...family is only family if your loved by them...not hated or they are envious of you....just walk away...I'm thankful and grateful to God that I can ......walk away..
