Great video! Just picked up the Flip 6 for my 16 year old son on Black Friday deal. I debated so hard back and forth between the charge 5 and that flip 6. Ultimately, it was the portability of the Flip 6 that swayed me as he will be taking it with him to the gym and such and it still sounded pretty darn good in the store for a small speaker

Jbl has added and eq for the charge 5. Also, i think the charge 5 is the sweet spot in the lineup. Walmart sells them for $146, which is where i got mine last month.

I got my charge 5 at Walmart too , i just use the 9 band eq on my phone . It's sounds great

Overall firmware 6 to 7 lower the volume by 1 decibel with no benefits and then 7 to 8 made the highs and mids a bit worse except for the deep bass

I got me the charge 5 for about $100 on market place and let me say it sounds much better than the rest of the speakers as the sound is much clearer and louder. If I am to recommend any of those speakers to anyone, I would recommend the charge 5.

Great review! I was in the market for a waterproof BT speaker for an upcoming kayak trip. I had a hard time deciding between the Go 3, Clip 4, and the Flip 6 and actually walked out of the store with the Go 3 and the Flip 6 because I couldn't decide. After my own testing, I decided to keep the Flip 6. I think the Go 3 was an amazing speaker, and it really shines for its portability. The Flip 6 was just too hard to beat with its better sound and battery life (as to be expected with its higher price tag). I think if i was needing a speaker for backpacking and trekking on foot, I'd probably keep the Go or get the Clip. But it was easy enough to tie the Flip to my cooler on my kayak. The flip stayed strong during my 10 hour float. It never got submerged but was splashed with water constantly. And, i was able to crank the volume up loud enough for my buddies to enjoy the music during our float.

I picked up a black flip 6 after my old 12 JBL passed on. Within 3 days I picked up another silver flip 6 for the stereo/Party trick. Use one color for visual clue of the left side the other for the right side. It makes for an excellent portable for stereo sound in and outside. The 6 has an simple EQ, is 30w and a Bluetooth of 5.7 around 40 feet. Maybe when the Extreme 3 or Charge 5 goes on sale for a great price in a year or two I’ll pick it up for and connect it in the center for a more complete powerful system.

I own a jbl charge 5, flip 5, xtreme 2 and 3, and a boombox 2 and obviously my favorite one is the boombox 2 but I’m not even joking I like my charge 5 more than my xtreme 3. Yes the xtreme 3 is louder and stuff but for the money I don’t think it’s worth spending the extra money for the xtreme 3.

I just picked up the Charge 5 yesterday. So far pretty happy with it. It's comparable sound quality to my 8 year old Bose Soundlink Mini but the JBL goes way louder, is twice as big, way longer battery life and is rugged. I think the Bose has a nice balanced sound whereas the JBL has more treble and a bit tighter bass but the Bose still cranks the bass too for such a small speaker. Depending on which song you listen to, that will decide which one sounds better.

Yo as a pro tip don't put any electronics in water with chlorine or salt water it ruins the adhesive seals this applies to phones with a IP rating otherwise solid review keep up the great work ✊

Very great! I prefer the Xtreme 3 though, because the aux port, usb-a, and covered usb-c ports. The cover for the usb-c is helpful, cause I don't have to like get the water out with the good ol' hankies. The flip 6 has this problem. And I want a boombox-like thing, and it has a bigger battery too(than the charge 5).

Boombox 2 has half of the battery Power than the boombox 1.. i made the mistake because i thought the newer Version is better.. i have both and the xtreme 3, boombox 2 and xtreme 3 have the same battery Power while boombox 1 has twice as mich. Think about that before buying

I use the charge 5 for when I skate around neighborhoods, I use a drawstring backpack to carry it around along with water bottles and a skate tool, it’s not too big but not too small and I love loud music so honestly it really is the best of them all

Quick question man. I saw your old oneodio videos, and it convinced me to get some. I got the A70 headphones. I Hooked it up to a headphone amp, but in general these headphones sound really bad in the bass department the louder they go. Everything else sounds good which is a shame. Should I try different oneodio headphones or am I looking in the wrong place? If you see this, thanks a lot for your recommendation.

I have 2 jbl flip 6 and listen to them in stereo mode, but now I need more bass and have decided to buy a new speaker and use it in partyboost beside my 2 flip 6 for outdoor use. What do you suggest ? Buying charge 5 or xtreme 3 ? Since I heard that xtreme 3 is only 50W rms instead of 100W when it has not plugged, I was a little disappointed about it! Another question, Is the loudness and bass of jbl xtereme 3 alone more than two jbl flip 6 in partyboost for outdoor use?

I have both flip 5, charge 5 and now xtreme 3, i have not got chance to try the extreme 3 much, charge 5 is an easy speaker to carry with you outside, xtreme 3 is quite large and might be less good to have with you in some cases, got the charge 5 for $150 and xtreme 3 this week for $220 seems like fair price for the perfomence you will get
