JDL, just came across this review! I'm the Chairman of Aiwa. Thanks so much for giving the headphones a shot, glad you liked them despite the box :) Actually cheap packaging is a part of our thing, all the money goes into the hardware instead of the marketing/packaging, etc. May sound like a gimmick, but it's honest. Those headphones have some really expensive drivers for a $199 headphone, so you get a cheap box and expensive drivers :)

Nothing Gimmicky about simple cardboard but well designed packaging. Aiwa need to bring their legendary sound systems back! Wipe floor with everyone. Don’t forget people in 90s was kids now we are adults who’s looking for them legendary systems . Because our dads won’t let us touch it . 😂😎

Just Doin' Life I was gonna say, back in highschool I was rocking their portable CD players and I had their 3 disc changer stereo in my room growing up. These seem like DJ grade headphones. I’m glad to see them back and a quality return at that. Bludio take notes!!!

Dude Aiwa is hands down one of the best song system maker. I’m not surprise they was able to Produce great headphones. Read up a bit on this company u will see they are ages around already and u will see the systems what they produce . U will bother to learn their name properly. Btw great video thank you.

@@NewStuffTV1 thanks for the reply. I know there's a price difference that makes the Aiwa a heck of a value. Refurbished can get them for $80. But I also found a set of Crossfade 2 Rose Gold for $140 used...so that's my dilema. I have had M100s and Bassfit and both were awesome. Was interested in the Arc1s to save money and still have a great sound, but seeing some used Crossfades has me wondering if I should just spend a little more and go with what I've known. Still, it's hard to ignore all the hood reviews of the Arc1.

AIWA??? they`re still alive??? haha that took me back... my best walkman back in the day was an aiwa.. and my best stereo too.. the headphones seemed very cool.. simple and functional.. but I mostly enjoyed the x2 speed dancing hahaa funny!

If you want recommendations you have to definitely check out Creative Aurvana Live, i just got those and for 50€/$60 they are a bargain. 👍I claim that they are way better than something like Oneodios for example.
