the problem with soft reseting for shinies is that people get into the grind of reseting instantly, then their reflexes tell them to soft reset even when its shiny. that's why if I were to shiny hunt, only SOS and masuda method for me.

I've soft reset for shinies before (because I had to since they were Legendaries) and I always make sure to wait and look before soft resetting. If you do that, you won't soft reset over the shiny.

Please don't do sos chain. In my opinion it's the most boring, tiring, and annoying way to find shinies. Yes it's very reliable and I've done it to prove it but if you want a shiny, you have to keep hunting for hours straight if u wanna keep a chain, it's boring keeping track of how many moves the Pokémon have, etc.

However, Voltsy apparently didn't notice it, which is understandable, since there is hardly any difference (the colours are slightly different) and he might have overlooked the star at 0:25. So he killed the shiny by using leaf blade.

Happiny is rare enough as is, but a shiny one? Like a once in a lifetime opportunity to get one without hacking. People hack these Pokemon, which takes the fun out of the game.
