Case 1: Most houses are divided into 10 to 20 separate electrical circuits (depending on size) so that if one circuit is overloaded a circuit breaker shuts off power to that circuit---leaving the rest of the house functional. Most electrical circuits are only rated for 15 amps each. All those lights, speakers, and other devices were more than 15 amps and probably on one circuit. The reason the lights in the house were still on is because they are on different circuits. I surprised that none of the men knew to check the circuit breaker.

Well, he owed her $10,000 and didn't pay it back after six months. I think she was justified in suing him.
