So Glad People with Judge Milian is back on air and online - She has such charisma and common sense - she is very entertaining along with husband John. Wish she could be appointed to SCOTUS we could use here there. Honor and Character is needed NOW💯

What a terrible mother, a complete control freak, poor child is already messed up.

If a hamster accident requires mental health care intervention there is a lot more going on there. Divorce is something some kids never get over.

I thought the plaintiff in the first case was wearing a bathrobe. Her hair was all slicked back like she just got out of the shower, lol.

What an awful mother. No wonder your kid needs therapy

Un, lisavmack205, how was she to know it was a hamster, her ex-husband, the child's father, kept it secret with his son, a bad parenting decision in his part. I do not blame the mother on this, the father made a bad decision to parent his son to lie to mom.

She's super dramatic. Why not just make it a teaching moment.

Second case, the nanny was at fault for allowing her charge to play with her I-pad and it got broke. Nothing like blaming things on someone who is not there.

Hard to find a truly good and trustworthy nanny; she seems like one. It was prob better to just pay out the tablet to keep her around. You can never be too careful with your child.

please do not get hamsters as a pet for your kids!!! they are higher maintenance than what everyone makes them out to be and require a lot of space and time! they are not “beginner” pets and are solitary, burrowing creatures who need several inches of loose bedding and large, solid-walled enclosures, not those colorful tunneled cages that pet stores sell.

Maybe this will teach mom not to be so controlling. The child snuck the pet in because he knew his mother would not listen. If she doesn't change, things will get worse when the child gets older.

Teach your kids to deal with grief... not their last time. Psychiatrist is a bit much in the circumstances. Emotional intelligence is important and should be tought by the parents

But, the problem with this "necessary" medical bill is that the heartless mom is the one who made it necessary. And again, she SMIRKED when they talked about her traumatizing her child. That worries me.

The dad in the first case failed by asking the kid to hide the fact about the pet, but that mom seems to be way too controlling and thinks she can dictate what the dad does with his child in his own home. I am not buying the story about not knowing it was a hamster until the kid said it. She is the reason the kid needs therapy, classic case of using the child as a pawn of war against the ex.

That clearly has to be the reason they divorced. She thinks she controls everything

Hmm my daughter had a Hamster . She was 7 or 8. She's 51 now. And I'm 72 and just learned a Hamster and mouse looks different. I always thought they looked just alike . 3:20 am watching JMM. Trying to picture a hamster and a mouse. My mind goes blank, it's crazy. He paid her 500. Which was a good ruling. 6/8/2024. What a story. I hope I don't dream of a mouse or hamster . LOL ...... 😂🤣🥴🤨😴💤💤💤💤

Are hamsters like some other "pet rodents"? Because some, IIRC, can LITERALLY be scared to death. Like even by clising a door too loud, unexpectedly. It might not have just been being hit that killed it, if they are easy to startle to death. My neighbor in the apartment across the hall had something. Guinea pigs or gerbils or something. I wanna say guinea pigs. One of hers died just from geing startled, apparently.

The only way to fix this is to let the son get a new pet. I'm still traumatized from my mom getting a dog and then getting rid of it.

My question for Mom would be, she said the rule was that they discuss things regarding their child that affect the child when he is at BOTH Mom AND Dad's houses. I understand her logic that if the child was taking piano lessons, that he would practice while at Dad's, so this is something Dad would need to know. My point is, Dad got Skylar a hamster to keep at HIS HOUSE. Would Mom have been willing to allow Skylar to have his pet at her house, as well, or is this something that would ONLY be at Dad's house, that Skylar has his hamster pet with him. While I DO agree that maybe Mom should have been told about her son getting this new pet, if the hamster is ONLY living at Dad's and its not Mom's responsibility to take care of the hamster when the child is with her, then HOW does that affect when the child is with her? Given what happened, I absolutely believe this was NOT Mom's fault, what happened to the poor hamster. Dad should have made sure the hamster STAYED at his house, if he didn't want Mom to know about the hamster. She was not aware her son had a hamster, much less that he had snuck said hamster to her house in his backpack and his father had sworn him to secrecy about the hamster. I am just impressed that it took her THAT LONG to discover this hamster in her house. After all, the poor thing wasn't even contained in a cage. She was just running loose on the bed. Having encountered rodents in my house before, myself, I can appreciate the fright that Mom underwent when she was just innocently making a pancake breakfast to surprise her son and she sees this scurrying little rodent out of the corner of her eye, that she doesn't think should be in her house. I would have reacted likewise.
