The plaintiff, a seamstress, helped the defendant sew items together for a contest. They came up with an agreement that if the defendant won, the plaintiff would get 45%. She says the defendant hasn’t given her the money, so she’s suing. The defendant argues she paid the plaintiff and doesn’t owe her anything else.

I think what really happened is the plaintiff agreed in a rush to do way too much work for $150, and it stung more when the defendant was successful. But ultimately she shouldn't have agreed to that price, and the best thing she could do is value her time better in the future. She has no case.

I was having an outfit made and I was quoted a price of $500. I paid half up front for materials and we got started. I had to be on the seamstress making it to ensure it got done in time. When I finally went to pick it up he tried charging me an extra $150 on top of it cause it took him longer than he thought it would. That’s not my problem we had it written in text flat fee of $500. He didn’t wanna give me my outfit until I called the cops on him. They forced him to give me my property and I rightfully paid him the other half and I’ve not been in contact with him since. His loss cause I had several projects I would’ve used him for if he hadn’t tried pulling a fast one on me.
