This wasn't the original movie, and it isn't close to what it would have been if he didn't have a personal tragedy. He had years to rework the story, was given 70+ million to shoot almost an hour of extra content, to then rearrange and remix it all into a completely different idea.

They're not wrong. It's not some masterpiece. Has good scenes. Had some really bad scenes. Some awkward looking shots. Bad music at times. Batman still feels underused, along with Aquaman, and Ben's acting feels more like him being himself in any other movie then how he felt in BvS, which aligned more with Bruce's attitude in every other adaptation, minus the murdering. Martian Manhunter's Martha scene was kinda whack, as a plot device to simply have Lois in the park, where also is only a plot device. Lol.

I could not disagree with you guys more on the opening title credits. I loved how it set up all the different worlds, the different boxes, and all the different characters in a succinct way. That and it makes Superman's presence/absence felt from the jump. From the ship responding to him, the motherbox's fearing him,the butterfly resting on his fingers, etc. The whole film, and going back to Man of Steel, was about his impact on the world. @@UltimateQball that’s your perspective and that’s completely your right. Doesn’t matter if i disagree or agree with it, but I want to see their perspective since these particular movies can be directly compared. I’ve seen some of their other reviews and that was something they kept bringing up- which is completely fine - it’s their opinion, I just think they tend to be overly critical and “nit-picky”of DC films for some odd reason. Sometimes it feels like they’re reaching for things when they really don’t have to. My point was that they nitpick and scrutinize certain things in DC films that they don’t in Marvel films. These films are comparable. So what is their standard? In the end it’s a podcast,, but it just makes it hard to listen to when they aren’t consistent.
@UltimateQball

@@toxiccookie9391 Naw bro, they nitpick marvel stuff too, it just that when you look at the MCU overall its makes more sense and more believable and you may think you found a plothole then later on realize nope thats not a plothole. You can't do the same with DCEU. As a standalone movie fine it makes sense, but when you place it in the overall snyderverse, which they're hyping me to do, you can understand things are all over the place. We have our concerns with how marvel is going to deal with multi-verse and continuation of time-traveling and we see how easily marvel can fuck it up or make things too complex to an average viewer (which is bad). But we'll see what happens when we get there. I respect that, agree to disagree :)

Honestly, I really fucking loved this movie. I'm watching this review and feel strange because... most of the things you guys hate, I actually love about the movie. The scream heard around the world. The mythological scale of it all. I want more of it. I will agree that the song choices were awful though. There are obviously going to be different tastes and that's fine but I appreciate having snyders universe which is VERY different, but not for everybody, opposite of marvel and even opposite the direction that DC seems to be going. I like man of steel, BvS is flawed but I love how heavy the movie feels and this to me.. is the payoff to that feeling. The 3rd act is so inspiring and with everything going on in my life and many lives, it's exactly the kind of media I've been looking to consume right now. #ForAutumn

I actually really liked the Snyder cut, as a big fan Man of Steel and a fan of BvS I think think that the biggest problem I had with the original release is the tone shifts because it feels like 2 movies glued together. For better or for worse depending on who you are this movie maintains that Snyder tone throughout and as a fan of Zach Snyder films and very hopeful of this version I'm blown away how well it turned out, and I think it's crazy how much it feels like a different film than the original. In all honesty, I only want to watch a cyborg movie because of this movie; the same goes for the flash. This notion that everything must begin with an origin tale of each character is outdated. One of this movies biggest strengths was its ability to flush out just enough (not everything), about a character to make me want more from them. If they went down the other route of story telling (I guess marvels); I would not have any exposure to any of the less notable characters, and would go back to not caring enough to watch movies based on em. Idk, I actually thought it was a pretty good movie (much better), but what is with the Snyder hate?

@@0biRonKenobi Yes and no. Really do really understand whats going on in this universe. Come on you know its all over the place. They need to recon some stuff if they continue with this. You're leaving DCEU off the hook, they need explanations answered similar to how Marvel Universe is answering all our questions making plot holes very little to none so far. The mother boxes, when are they awakened? Why can'ts the hero's use them against DarkSeid and his realm? Flash and Superman are hell of fast, whenever DarkSeid created the portal from his realm to Earth Realm, flash and superman could've entered and just ended DarkSeid. I think the way Superman is presented in the DCEU, just ruins the immersion and believabilty. Yall talking about Marvel having Scarlett witch and Captain Marvel, at least they're presented OP and yes Thanos was getting hit ass kicked by them, but he outsmarted them cleverly. You don't get that here in the Justice League. Literally Superman could fly through the portal and kick DarkSeid ass. The DC Animated Justice League makes Superman much better to watch, instead of the live action movies.

I don't know how anyone could say that it isn't a thousand times better than the Whedon version. Yes it's an over-long, over-indulgent fantasy movie taken deathly seriously... but so was The Return of The King Extended Edition and I loved that movie too (don't remember that being so bright and cheerful either..). So many of these complaints could be directed at the Lord of The Rings, characters randomly breaking into long songs in foreign languages.. check, long scenes with unnecessary world building.. check, unnecessary slow motion.. check! This has great acting performances, great action, great visuals, great character stories... obviously it's not on the same level as The Return of The King but that's the only other movie I can really compare this to and I mean that as a big compliment. I really don't know what Snyder has to do to please some people...

My expectations were low coming into this film and i'm glad to say i thoroughly enjoyed what i saw overall, one or two visual effects look blotchy and one scene in particular feels a bit disjointed from the rest of the film but I understood what snyder was going for in that scene, the film feels cohesive and its chapter layout feels very much like a comic book on screen, the 4 hour runtime is a lot to take in for a lot people but to me it flew by and felt necessary to fully explore the characters and motivations for why they are along for the journey. I love DC and always have but i wasn't a fan of MOS, BVS and certainly not JL (2017) not to throw shade at fans who do like those films, But i can say i'm a fan of Zack Snyder's Justice League.

Watched it last night. Enjoyed it SO MUCH more than the 2017 film. At four hours, the movie did what I always felt it had to do without the luxury of having previous movies introduce their heroes; it let us spend more time with the individual Justice Leaguers, especially Cyborg and Flash. It's ridiculous how much of their footage was scrapped for the 2017 film. I know WB had a mandate of keeping it to 2 hours, but my God you can't expect your crossover movie to rival Marvel's with a 2-hour run time, when you're using that very movie to introduce half of your team. Because of these new storylines, I never felt those 4 hours. I know everyone's different, but I really felt the runtime was justified, given the scope of the story, and how the means to which the JL defeat Steppenwolf are only introduced in this movie. Easily now, my favorite of Snyder's entries to the DCEU. It's not as somber as either MoS or BvS, but it still has a dark tone and a sense of agency & stakes that the 2017 one didn't have. It's lighter, and yet it doesn't feel like a forced comedy sketch, like much of the 2017 version was. Is it perfect? Hell no. Definitely some things here and there that I didn't need, ie. certain music cues and sweater-sniffing. Superman isn't a huge presence, but he definitely pulls his weight at the end. I like that he doesn't render the League usless in comparison to the 2017 film, but rather he's a bit of a power boost. The killing blow is saved for the other Leaguers, as well as how they ultimately save the world. Overall, this was the epic movie that characters like the Justice League deserve. Given the movies (or lack there of) that preceded it, and the general audience's reactions to these particular versions of the characters, this movie definitely exceeded my expectations, and made me want to see them in action together again; not because of some half-hearted interest in the franchise, but because now, I'm genuinely invested in these characters. The movie just did a much better job fleshing out the new characters and showing the League working together. Haters gonna hate.
