Raylon Givens-stone cold badass. Facing down 6 men, all armed, by himself-and not even blinking. And what made it awesome was that no one thought to draw on him. He laid it down with no show of weakness or uncertainty-and seems to me Hotrod knew he’d kill them all. Timothy Olyphant did an absolutely brilliant job in a role he was born to do, and man he nailed it with a sledgehammer

If we gave Raylan some hollow point ammunition he would basically be an Avenger
@MarkShank Жыл бұрын
I think your take here detracts from the character. Raylon’s point was that he knew that he would give more than he got and he didn’t give a shit how it played out. Furthermore, when it was all said and done, if they prevailed they would have killed a federal Marshall and had to deal with the almighty wrath of the federal government.

This show is FILLED with details and tiny observations that serve as storytelling and better representations of the characters. Raylan leaving his hair long to represent he's being careless,focusing on the job too much and drinking so much he doesn't have time to get a haircut, his not usage of the hat during some episodes went he's truly off his game and mad/angry or frustrated with something happening on his life recently.

The thing I like about this show is that Raylan was a WHOLE different beast with a chip on his shoulder and he ran wild using the law to justify his behavior, but, that beast had a sharp mind and a moral code. I'd say that he would end up either a law man or an outlaw but he was too smart to be an outlaw, so he went into a branch of service that let's him have the freedom to be an outlaw with a badge, and everybody was afraid of him. They didn't know what to do with him or how to deal with him, and heaven help you if you crossed him because he is that good and never had a problem cashing the checks his mouth wrote. Absolutely brilliant character and I like that we get to sit shotgun and watch his life go from the out of control, angry wild man to the mature, seasoned man and father he was at the end.

You don’t want to get into a gun fight with Rayan Givens.

It's interesting that the Arlow story is the same one Boyd tells asks him about in the first episode but, back then, Raylin says that he doesn't remember it and must have been gone by the. Wonder if he was lying to Boyd or if he just reused that story here.

I was thinking Raylan would tell Hot Rod that he would go first (whether he is really armed or not).
