So sorry Grace but for this one, I am on Baldoni's side. Cast do not Show support for Baldoni because Blake & Ryan are tooo powerful. I am looking at the press tours and I've already watched the movie... Justin tried to promote it the right way.
People do realize that Colleen Hoover has been criticized in the book space for glamorizing abusive relationships and marketing them as romances. Baldoni has worked on redefining masculinity for years. This is not the time for Blake Lively to be saying "go in your florals" to this kind of movie. It's not about men vs. women, it's about the message getting completely lost.
@wheelstoadventure2 ай бұрын
You know I’ve read that and I always found it somewhat curious because when you talk to women, including victims about the idea or question why did you stay? How could you not known? the premise is always he fooled me. he was so nice. He was so sweet he was all positive things and swept me off my feet and then all of a sudden he turned into a monster. Now, people who work with domestic violence victims know that’s not the actual truth and reality, but the author literally took a vantage of the fantasy a lot of women paint in their mind about being fooled.

Bit of a pet-peeve about the Joaquin Phoenix movie: it's ok to say it's a 'gay movie' and not 'LGBTQ', the movie is literally about a romance between two gay men.. just feels unnecessary to always use that entire acronym everytime we talk about anything related to LGBTQ+ issues, same can be said for a lesbian movie.. of course if the story IS in fact some form of a spectrum of sexuality, then by all means let's ensure we're using that term, but the blanket use is starting to feel regressive real quick.

Love seeing you break down these complex stories… one small gripe though. If you think the Lively/Baldoni story is so obscure that you can’t pick a side, why would you create a poll asking us to choose one? It just feeds into this narrative/story
@Jgotmilk5552 ай бұрын
Sometimes, Corporations show signs of being psychopaths'. The third story would be an example of a corporation engaging in psychotic actions. Prayers for the family that lost someone they love. Walt Disney wasn't perfect (but he was a good person). He wasn't a psychopath.

What do you expect from adopting a problematic author and their novels ('It Ends With Us' & Colleen Hoover) 🙃 It's written all over it "PROBLEMATIC"

This situation with Baldoni seems to have the potential to really put a stain on Blake's public/professional image and potentially affect her sequel to A Simple Favor.? Many different places seem to be coming out of the woodwork to create the narrative that "she's difficult to work with" drawing up things from Gossip Girl to some of the rumors about her "professional conduct" in a couple of the films that had her with other big named talent.

That third story makes my blood BOIL. How can Disney be so heartless??

I don't really have a "side" in the Lively issue, but I think it's incredibly offensive that his ethnicity would be the deciding factor in if he deserves sympathy or not. Either he's a little guy being mistreated by a Hollywood power couple or he's not. Him being less deserving of sympathy if he's white says a lot about the people championing that viewpoint.

That’s not what people are saying people are mostly just pointing out the fact that he is actually talking about domestic violence whilst Blake isn’t she isn’t taking it seriously therefore she is being disrespectful

11:58 I think that is the problem... The visuals get skewed when you get the power of Hubby's image into this. Blake was loving every bit of her, Swfitting around, women supporting women, doing her own flower thing, but the moment RR appeared, even with all good intentions, and let's make this a Oppenheimer/Barbie summer, wife of mine. All of this can be, imho, be resolved if cast and author open up about what really is going on.

EVERY place I have ever taken my kids locally here in AZ has an arbitration clause. If you want them to be able to go to these places... they ALL make you agree that you cannot sue them. This is very common, unfortunately. But the reality is... if every company got sued every time an employee made a mistake that negatively impacted a customer... no business would survive. There are likely dozens of potential legal liabilites DAILY at these theme parks. Of course not all of them involve death... but without this clause everybody would sue for everything.

We were celebrating my daughter’s birthday in the Blue Bayou at Disneyland , and we had to ask about a certain ingredients my husband cannot eat (not an allergy)The waiter went to ask the chef just to make sure it was safe for him to eat it. My heart goes out to the family 🙏🏼

Hi Grace, whew! What a stream! I have experience working in a restaurant that had a prominent gluten free section of the menu. The restaurant had a separate, small food prep room to prepare the gluten free food. They did this to prevent cross contamination. Celiac Disease can be deadly when gluten is ingested by someone living with this illness. So, I’m wondering if it was cross contamination in the very unfortunate events that happened in Disney’s restaurant.

Both Justin and blake should just keep quite or at the least release a joint statement to stop the gossip. In order to maintain box office sales.
@JoeyAustin-ul1qb2 ай бұрын
The gossip (drama) is what is driving up box office sales so maybe it is all really just a marketing ploy. Controversy sells.

It’s important to note that this restaurant is not owned or operated by Disney. It’s a third party who pays rent to operate at Disney Springs. I’m confused as to why the husband is suing Disney in the first place and not the restaurant owners. The Disney+ clause is very scary, though.

Joaquin Phoenix always seemed like a great actor, but kinda a weird guy, and a little pretentious. Not surprised that he bolted at the last minute, but really sad to hear how the crew is out of a job now.

I honestly don't take in consideration the fact that Blake, the cast and the author stopped following Jacob Baldon on socials. It reminds me of when R&B and other friends of Taylor did the same with Joe Alwyn. Everyone was speculating that Joe must have done something TERRIBLE for them to unfollow him and then it turned out he was "only guilty" of being depressed... For Joaquin, I don't really care for him but I was looking forward to the movie because it seemed interesting. I'm disappointed it's getting cancelled. Also, after the comment of the producer about gay vs straight actors I definitely believe Joaquin got cold feet because of how explicit the movie was supposed to be. But I find it ironic since the producers said that Joaquin was the one to push for it to be so explicit 😭

I feel like there has to be more to the Joaquin story. If the scenes were real too graphic… why not just rewrite them last minute or shoot theme differently. So close to shooting im having a hard time imagining how they couldn’t come to a compromise.
