My theater has a free arcade, servers, restaurant food, people to take your food and drinks to your seat, themed food and drinks for big movies, security, etc. I’m excited to see what these other theaters do with this upgrade

Extending the Andor/Penguin comparison out of TV, The Batman itself was almost like an Andor style movie. Solid box office, HUGELY satisfied fans, not a billion dollar slam dunk business wise, but beloved enough for the studio to want it to keep going.

You need carpeting in theaters . The candy and soda on cement and tile make that " sticky " sound when everybody walks . Also they are only given 20 minutes between shows and dont have time to mop and wait for drying time on cement and tile plus elimates slip and fall lawsuits with carpet!

Missed it 😢 but if you read the Agatha reviews it’s getting bomber soooo badly, like all female MCU shows, so the love for the show is really inspiring for far. But yeah I watched the Penguin with low hopes since you said the 3rd episode is where it picks up, but actually really loved the show & was surprised. Sophia is out of control & her mind is just wow, but she is a truly a scary, intimidating woman. I’m hooked on both shows.

I think Agatha isn’t getting much hate because it’s much easier to say just don’t watch it. Like echo is part of this daredevil/punisher side of the mcu and gets all those fans and haters, but Agatha really only ties into Wanda, so if you don’t like it there’s less to complain about? Like it fits with it’s part of the mcu if that makes sense

WB and DC need to get back to HBO quality shows. What got them in trouble in the first place was trying to compete with Disney/Marvel box office success, clicks and trending. Know your audience and what you are good at. Quality is what made WB and specifically HBO great and IMO Penguin is a step in that direction.

Penguin was fire and feels more like a Cult Classic...Agatha was a good follow up to WandaVision.. I do think Penguin premiering during TNF ( Thursday Night Football ) was bad, but when it moves to Sundays it'll pick up some steam cause HBO content is strong on Sunday Nights...Also I like how they stayed true to The Batman world esthetic.

I was always wondering just how noisy people in American theatres are. And if member say that cinemas in Italy and UK are quiet then I guess I have no point of reference because the theaters are indeed relatively quiet here in Italy. Some noise can be at the beginning when people arrive late. I saw a couple of people using their phone for 5 minutes. At a screening I was recently a group of teenagers were giggling too much but they got quickly shushed. I guess little kids sometimes can whisper something but they are still well behaved.

I honestly think that if they stick the landing for Penguin and he turns out to be an incredible villain in The Batman 2, this is what Marvel needs to do for its villains - and too bad they didn't think to do this with Kingpin. Santiko’s is a chain in Texas that started in San Antonio. They’re amazing other than they have no efforts to stop texting and filming. But their theatres are really cool and all have a bit of a theme to the building design. (Not in a cheesy way). When I was in high school (03- 07) their first theatre opened up about 25-30 minutes from me and it was the closest theatre to my town. My family and my friends would go allll of the time. It’s partially where I grew my love of movies. I still have a vivid memory of riding in my friends car and goofing off with my nerdy friends and seeing the Dark Knight “why so serious” ad on the side of the building so it looked like real graffiti and getting soo excited and also sad because if I remember correctly, heath had just passed maybe a month before. Now they’ve expanded across the city and is the primary chain, even beating out my very beloved Alamo drafthouse 😫 they also have a huge imax screen (not the biggest in the city but the bigger one is a pain to get to/park at because it’s downtown and inside a mall. I hate that theatre.) and have always had arcade games by the lobby. I remember my friends always playing before and after the movies. We also saw cats there a few years ago and got…. Um…. Very drunk…. Hahah

Santikos is a huge theater chain in San Antonio. They give millions in charity. They also have bowling alleys and arcades, some VR stuff. The bowling is on the other side of the buding and you can never hear it. Theyre the best chain in San Antonio hands down

Yeah the writing was on the wall for Lee once Wish didn’t do well. I liked the film but it was underwhelming for what was hyped to be the crowning jewel of the 100th year anniversary. As for movie theaters mine is currently doing big upgrades to its imax theater I can’t wait to see how that turns out. As for bringing Arcades in they used to have them but got changed out for Bars I’m not sure it would bring in much money bringing them back but bowling could be cool.

I think agatha will be able to avoid the level of negative press that destroyed the acolyte. I think the most toxic fans will still understand that it isnt for them - a lot of the audience for star wars has been deliberately ignored and not catered to; the audience for the wanda side of the mcu hasnt been so slighted as the star wars fandom. I dont think the toxicity is coming from trolls or purely right wing extremists - its coming from people who really care about the franchise. And, because such people dont care about the wandaverse anyway, I think the show will be fine.

Each theater needs a number we can text to report people or problems with the movie. We had a movie start with no sound and it was super awkward. I think everybody was waiting for someone else to report it. They could also put a barcode on each armrest that we can scan to report stuff.

I realized after I watched it that _Agatha All Along_ was a show about a villain. And of course _Penguin_ is a villain. So how much will the public get behind these characters. Elsa was supposed to be a villain? Maybe that's why Hans going bad seemed abrupt. _Wish_ made me think of the fictional book title on SNL: "Women good, Men bad."

Agatha is the most fun witchy program in a very long time and hopefully it can sustain it. "A Discovery of Witches" have done a good job too but the problem it wasnt as popular. Penguin is a good show but it is very dark and very serious. Ugh, Grace, do your homework. Read Disney War. Katzenberg is a notorious monster. Everyone who works with him hates him. He's not a great business man, e.g. QUIBI. Roy E. Disney, Michael Eisner, Frank Wells, and Jeffrey Katzenberg (among so many other talented people) get credit for the Disney Renaissance, but Katzenberg by far the least of these. Roy is not the idiot nephew. He spearheaded it all and hired Michael. Katzenberg was a slave master despised by all, regularly mocked in caricature by the animators (which infuriated him). When DreamWorks was acquired, it was in the paperwork that Katzenberg had to go 100%, basically move to another continent. He's terrible and Quibi proved how incompetent, arrogant, and misguided his instincts are. How do you not know these things? Stop talking about Disney history when you don't even know what you're talking about.
