It's pure media nonsense and favoritism. Now, 2 things: 1 - for some reason Jalen's meteoric rise seems to displease many talking heads. The guy is not "liked". He's the phenom of the 2022 season (along with the otherworldly Mahomes and Miracle Purdy), but his name is barely been mentioned ever. 2 - Jalen does not need, nor does Herbert for that matter, to "justify" anything. Their employers (the owners) showed us all how worthy those QBs are to them. Owners don't "bet" on future results on the field. They invest in a QB knowing already what their global ROI will be on all fronts (TV and content rights, commercial exposure, jerseys, hot dogs...). It's all accounted for already. Peace, Tam.

Hurts was 2nd Team All Pro. 2nd in MVP voting. Balled out in the SB. Coulda easily won MVP and been 1st Team All Pro had he not been injured and a bounce here or there and he's a SB Champ and SB MVP on top of it. He's accomplished more in less time than Herbert. Herbert has to not just win a playoff game but make a deep run. Conference Championship at least.

Stats lie. You call it "decline"... but didn't mention WINS. For all I know, year 1 is "garbage time stats when trailing", while year 3 is "efficient playoff team".. Throw 2TDs and lose 17-14... I hate it that they use stats like that to make it seem like he was so amazing. Most in the first 3 years ever! He play two seasons of 17 games. The seasons are longer than ever before. He lost at home to Jimmy G. He barely made playoffs, and I don’t want to hear the injury excuses. Great qbs make other players better. He chokes and in no way should be getting that much money.
