I direct you to Langer's recent comments. Very interesting comments on Cummins and Finch. A concern that grown men that were leaders were too frightened to have a conversation that they considered difficult with JL. What does that say about leadership. Its hard to say whether not having Langer as coach was the reason for the World Cup debacle. But I do think the attitude by Cummins and his back room conspirators indicated comfortableness, the tail wagging the dog, and a boys club. Its not a pursuit of excellence in all areas. These are the factors that will stop the Australian team from growing and succeeding as they should. Of course they'll win games regularly, but they should be near the top in all forms. With respect to JL I would be interesting to hear how he adapts his delivery style and communication based on the player/s he's talking to. All good coaches know how to inspire individual players differently. I think Cricket Australia's response to this today has been particularly poor. They've deliberately misrepresented what he said. Really tacky and dare I say lacking in courage.

Doesn’t have the personality to be a coach. Too emotional and volatile. This example shows it and another press conference I saw where he got a little upset at a journo, which is fair enough, then he does a 180 and apologises at the end of the press conference, which is fine and the journo was cool with it, but then he goes even further insisting that they “hug it out” and wouldn’t take no for an answer, making it worse and weird. So yes this year West Coast suck, and every team in the AFL should be expected to beat West Coast this year, and when it come to the 2019 Ashes series at the time yes it was a great result, but with hindsight not beating England in the 2019 at the series is damning, because since the 2019 Ashes series England have played 29 test matches, and England’s record in those 29 games is 10 wins six draw and 13 losses, and keep in mind Joe Root has scored over 2000 runs in those 29 test matches, and England still have a losing record in that time so yes beating England, or getting a draw against England in a test series isn’t impressive, and shouldn’t be the reason why you keep your job as coach and when it comes to the one-day series win against India in India as impressive as that is it was three years ago, and sadly most people didn’t care about that series in Australia, and all the positive momentum we had after that one day series went away when we didn’t win the one day World Cup, and when is Australia doesn’t win the one-day World Cup it’s always seen as a failure, and a criticism against the coach for not winning the tournament so that doesn’t help your argument, and as much as I enjoyed our T 20 World Cup victory, and I personally think it’s the peak of Justin Langer as a head coach a lot of people hate T20, and to prove my point just look on social media, and you will see countless amount of people who hate T20 with a passionate, and looking back at Australia’s previous performances in T20 World Cup’s there’s a reason why we struggled we didn’t pick up best players, because T20 in Australia is the least important format of cricket. So all of a sudden change your mind just so we can just keep Justin Langer head coach would be a double standard, and wouldn’t be fair to the previous Australian cricket coaches. So what does Justin Langer have going for him as a coach he wasn’t a good test coach we couldn’t win a one day World Cup when he was coach, and he was only good in T20. So I do agree with the players on firing Justin Langer, because he wasn’t a good head coach, and when you’re not good at your job you get fired that’s how it works in the rest of society. That Ian Chappell doesn't think that Justin Langer is a legend of Australian cricket is bullshyte isn't he the man who took Australian cricket to one of its lowest levels when he goy his brother Trevor to bowl underarm against the kiwis talk about being a hypocrite I've lost a lot of respect for the man

Your coach is not supposed to be your best mate. We live in a sanitised world, see the fire and passion, not anger, anger makes it seem he is being unreasonable,he coached flawlessly in his last season and gets sacked. Justin is from our golden generation of cricketers and should have been given every chance to re sign

He handed the team to his assistants before the world t20, after the beltings we copped in WI and Bangladesh in the t20 series.

He did a lot of good for the Team. His enthusiasm and attitude put the team, back on track. Restored some respectability. No one denies this. That said, there was a disconnect between the Coach and Team. In this day and age , that Unfortunately means much more than it used too. So a exit strategy had to be formed. Problem was that CA handled it the same way Boden did Afghanistan, Left it in a bloody mess! Nuff said
