Yes, Morgane Stapleton is his wife and she has an amazing voice in her own right. She and Chris have amazing vocal chemistry. I could listen to them sing anything. They also seem to have an amazing relationship by all accounts. Any time you see them together you can just tell they're all about each other and it's special to see it this day and age.

The year this came out, a bunch of reactors started their careers with reacting this performance. And it was great, EVERY TIME. Two amazing, talented, genuine artists. Yes, that's Chris's wife, and we should all thank her - he was content writing or being part of a band, but she saw how much more he could do. JT is from Memphis. I think he'd do blues all the time if he could.

Thank you for doing this reaction I requested a while back ago. This CMA Award performance was a should out back to the days when CMA had a show called Cross Roads and they had wonderful mix of pop/rock performers with country singers. It was always interesting to see people from two different musical world coming together Like Taylor Swift // Def Lepoad , Keith Urban and John Mayer - Till Summer Comes Around// Joss Stone & LeAnn Rimes - "Nothing better to do" and many more. I'm probably a little late to this comment page (as usual) but, this is a GREAT pairing of JT and CS (and Morgane). This is one of the few GREAT performances ever on the CMA's! Tennessee Whiskey was originally sung by George Jones in the early '80's.

The main reason I watched this video was to watch "Tennessee Whiskey" with Bisscute again :). Justin does have a good voice, but it's too clean for this song. When this song is performed it needs some grit some dirt to give it the right feeling. Love this song. I agree with you Bisscute about Justin's personality, but I watched him on "Saturday Night Live" and I have to admit it changed my mind, especially the skit where he plays his own immigrant grandfather coming to America (just in case you want to watch it on your own).

I think that Justin Timberlake is from Memphis, Tennessee, which is why he said that, so, it's not a surprise. He probably grew up around music like this. Memphis is a town known for music, with a history of a lot of Blues and Soul music that came out of there first, and then later it was significant to early Rock N Roll as the home of Sun Records, which was a small studio and record label that put out some monumental artists like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash (the four of which once spontaneously started jamming together when they all happened to be there at Sun Records, and they and that incident are know as the Million Dollar Quartet), Roy Orbison, and Charlie Rich. It's also Elvis' hometown, and it also gets a lot of tourism from Elvis fans who make the pilgrimage to see his Mansion, Graceland.
