My son, John E. Walker worked as an additional sound engineer on this. He was very impressed with the director mainly as well as "ninja camera guy", location, and the organization and professionalism of all. That is how they were able to get this in one take! As far as sound goes, I can only speak to my son who is meticulous in his work, quiet and unobtrusive in life and on set, an artist initially so usually thinks he could do better. At least when he is the sound mixer, he completes a gig to satisfaction from home. (He's a great Husband, Dad, son and all around kind person. I love you Maneens! Always proud mama.

I just read the behind the scenes of the recording of this song & video. It is so amazing to me that this was all done live, in that building. You can hear the echo of the choir's voices, you can hear Justin put on his guitar, You can hear him humming, you can hear everything. I really think the audio, production & filming personnel all deserve a well earned round of applause. And of course, Justin & Chris, along with the band members & choir deserve that big round of applause as well. My hat off to all of you for a beautiful job well done.

Seriously, all is live here and real?????
@kathys64025 жыл бұрын
@@arpitsrivstva unless the article I read was complete bullshit, yes it was all live. The audio people had one hell of a time keeping certain instruments from echoing all to hell & back, overwhelming everything else, like the drums & high hat, the brass. It was quite an extensive interview with the audio producers, so that is why I am taking it as true. Maybe someone else will read the article & come up with a different conclusion, or maybe I misunderstood what they were saying, but I know what I read rang true because of what I heard in the video. What I heard made me go looking for information, because it sounded live to me.

@@Fawkes2574 what is amazing to me is this was not just a first take on a video, this was the music live. But this music was not dubbed, they were NOT lip syncing.

Watching this, and coming to the realization of how many months of planning, location scouting, rehearsals, all to come down to the day of filming and nail it in one take, is beyond impressive. To top that off, is a brilliantly structured, written and played song. I don't even understand how this level of skill and talent can exist.

I'm willing to bet every musician, active or retired, from home musician to professional, got goosebumps from that count down. You know it. That feeling when you hear the "right" count down, when the band is all sync'd during the silence and the bassist just SLIIIIIIDES and brings the whole band in full force, that last hurrah where every singer and musician brings it to %110. They managed to capture that moment. and that moment was beautiful. made me realize that I miss those moments more than I thought.

@Austin NightEyes Maybe not the greatest ever, but he's making the greatest hits this generation. That's nothing to look down on. He's the pinnacle of the music industry right now. The maturity of his sound is leaps and bounds above anything anyone else is doing currently.

@@szymonwaledziak3381 Amazing video and song! I keep reading that JT plagiarized this song and the video style, but my non musical ear don't get it.... I think both are amazing, the polish video having a cooler concept with the lights and the change of scenarios.. Both are brilliant. And that polish song is gooood!! :)

I really love this song and music video and I reckon it will be more appreciated in time and be remembered as a classic. The location of the interior of an old building reminded me of something i had seen before but could not place it. Then just last night I saw the old Blade Runner movie (1982) was on TV. The building where the character J.F.Sabastian, (the nerdy guy with his toy robots) lives, looks just like it, though it is much more darker and wet.
