this dude is the goat, truly and in terms of songwriting aesthetics it makes so much sense that he is older. Most pop songs don't even have a bridge but Good Luck Babe and other CR songs there are bridges, pre-choruses, post choruses etc. Sophisticated stuff compared to songs that literally only have a repeating 4 chords (yuck).

I learned more about the music industry and how to write a song than my whole degree in theatre school. What an incredible gift thank you to you all!!

1:08:12 is a perfect example of why Justin Tranter is one of the greatest to ever do it. The way they engage, listen and care about Zach's life and history so genuinely is the same way they listen to and care about their co-writers and the artists they work with's stories. Can you imagine how comfortable artists must feel working with someone like that?

I will always adore how much he loves writing Good Luck Babe. It’s the most referenced song for the lesbian comphet experience. Really a queer anthem that sure will be timeless

I had the privilege as a teen to see Justin with Semi Precious Weapons when Gaga toured Australia, they were fucking phenomenal, and while I'm sure he's well known, I truly feel like his due credit is really still yet to come, I cannot believe how many songs he has kissed with glitter lips or otherwise written and turned into such well-deserved hit records while being talented enough to sing and perform and produce his own work that is sonically so cohesive, original and magical. I had no idea his hand in Good Luck, Babe but as soon as I saw this title I thought OH OFC.

I always wonder how dozens of people come on the credits of a song in the end? Three people are actively writing and the rest just cashes with them?

I saw him open for Gaga on the Monster Ball tour, so happy to see he's only gotten bigger and bigger opportunities to showcase his talent since. This was a great interview. I hope to see more conversations with the people working behind the scenes to bring us the music we love!

The new songwriters need to demand points on master or they won’t release agreement to any first use of the copyright c. I get why solidified writers don’t wana rock the boat but the new kids… demand your place in the master recording copyright P!

i am one of the songwriters thats scared to put my energy into learning music production even though I have the talent and the passion, just because I am terrified the industry is completely unsustainable to get into and it makes me so sad but I mighr have to do it anyway 😅
