I love to craft at times in the quiet and then I enjoy crafting while listening and watching crafting videos in my craft room.. I just learned today how I can use my stencils and run those through my die cutting machine or embossing machine to emboss my card stock.. It brings stenciling a whole new life.. Happy crafting..

Crafting videos on KZbin, Netflix or now that we are in isolation again, due to Covid, I will do a video chat with my 5 year old granddaughter. She crafts at her house and I craft at mine. Sometimes we chatter away, but often we craft in silence, focused on the cards we are making. Because I can't be at her house (Covid) this has become a precious and I LOVE it!

So VERY very helpful as I'm about to use a heat tool on Vellum and realizing I needed to have the right weight (hadn't thought about the weight of Vellum) spun my head. This saved me some trial and 'mostly' errors.

Thanks for showing these techniques! I usually make cards quietly. Noise can be distracting to me. Sometimes I'll assemble cards while watching TV. I really prefer to stamp with one or two friends though for motivation and to bounce around ideas.

Interesting new ideas about vellum and great video !!! The answer to one of your questions: I love the silence...when people get too distracted by listening to something totally different from what they a doing they do not find the focus - my opinion...on the other hand you can get into the mood by some music...but TV or audio-books leed your attention to much away from your project. Hi Justine. I've seen the Thermo Web Duo paste on another KZbin video, and I am definitely going to try it, I like to craft when it's really quiet, but sometimes I will catch up on my KZbin videos that I subscribe to as I can watch them on my TV. The other big exception is during baseball season. Watch the Yankees and craft--great combo of fun!!!

Hi there...thank you for sharing these tips. I just chatted with another Crafter about Vellum tape backslash glue. I've always run into the problem that the Vellum tape is visible and it turns the Vellum to a yellow ish tone. I guess if it's in the four corners that's all we can do! I'm going to try to send your video to the other crafter I was chatting with. Love your videos!

I love your videos, thank you for sharing. I've used the Stick It Tape sheets by Ken Oliver on vellum and i see no show of the tape! I cut a portion of the sheet into strips ready to use on vellum. Love that it is totally transparent, even on diff weights of vellum.

I think I watched a video on watercolouring on velum and they mentioned that velum has a sort of shiny side and a matte side? Do you find this true and if so, which side would you do the alcohol inks on? And I generally have the tv on when I craft (Hallmark usually!).

Pinata inks are great - I have them and also the Tim Holtz. There's another brand called Marabu that I also want to try which comes from Germany, and one KZbinr, Myriam's Nature has done a video on them. You might be able to access them more easily now that you're in Germany. Thanks for the ideas - I love using vellum but I have issues with the glue showing through - even using my Plus taperunner for vellum!

I tried Marabu at Creative world. I also really like them. The new ones have a super fine tip so I'm waiting for those to come out since you can get a lot of control over them. The colours seem super bright.

I use Canson 90 gr/m vellum (don’t have many choices in my country) and I’ve never had any problems with stamping on it with an acrylic block and pigment inks like Ranger Archival or Hero arts. It takes only couple of minute to dry fully. Also, you can make vellum die cuts to embellish for your projects. Answering to your question, I love crafting in silence) sometimes I have a special mood for music, but not very often ☺️ Thanks for your video! Cards are so beautiful

Try simply adding it over a stamped background or die cutting first and then go from there :)
