After caring canvas crossbody for almost 2 days now, I want to say that it’s perfection. The hardware where long strap attaches moves easily, rotates to accommodate different movement, the strap material does not rub against the fine sweater, the little silver slider that is used to get the desired length of the long strap is really pretty and creates very cool pin-like design around the chest area, the bag is very easily accessible, and the zipper is soft, so it’s comfortable to feel the zipper against the skin, while wearing it on the shoulder it’s very easy to grab the short straps if needed, inside compartments are roomy and easily accessible. It’s gorgeous to look at and very well-made. Thank you Justine I know it was not easy but it’s absolutely wonderful product.

I also bought this bag 5 years ago. I used it regularly for a few months and then put it aside for a few years. I've come back to it a few times over the past few months and it's a very classic and functional bag. *condup*

I honestly think that luxury brands still using chrome-tanned leather do not care about sustainability at all. And that includes the biggest names and houses in the industry. Yes, it's possible to find better leather. Yes, it's possible to produce in humanly acceptable conditions. For me, that's not negociable...

Amazing work Justine! I study Sustainability in the Fashion Industry and I applaud you for adding the QR code that allows to trace each aspect of the production & sourcing. It's mind boggling how Luxury brands get away with charging small fortunes without being transparent about well, anything really. Furthermore, I hope more people would realise, your bold move of setting the price based on the living wage of the skilled workers involved in the production, is extremely rare still. The fashion industry (specially handbag luxury brands) work with mark-ups of up to 20x the price it costs them to make; this means the handbag you are willing to pay €2000 for, only cost them €100 to make. The problem doesn't lie in the fact that it sells for €2000, but the fact it only costs them €100 to produce. Exactly how little are they paying the workers involved? As consumers we should expect more of our money to go towards the people involved in labour. In my experience, people don't know this, most folks that don't work in the industry genuinely think brands charge twice as much, maybe 4 times of what it costs them. BTW, the collection looks fab!🙌

The question is how many people have been underpaid for such impressive "financial success", what is the real cost (and quality!) of these "luxury" products they sell, and why are these products still considered luxury goods? 🤷🏼‍♀️🤔

Took my breath away with the information about chrome being used in tanning. Never knew that chrome was used. I worked in waste disposal and the toxic sludge from manufacturing something like aluminum from bauxite is horrific, as are the liquid redisdues from dyeing clothes. Feel really thrilled that Justine is tackling this issue - wish you every success.

They are all favorites and I love that you have that blue as a “neutral”. When Vera Bradley had a leather tote in that color and it was most versatile I ever worn. I wear cool colors and black can be to harsh for summer. What did I buy? Wallet as I’ve been looking for a couple years for one I liked and pouch to go with it. Also I bought some other purses this fall that I want to use at least a couple times. Edit to say that this is what a quality bag should cost. I’m 60 and very nice bags cost between $100 - 150 at the time in the early 80’s. Not designer stuff but something that was well made and would look good for a couple years with daily use. That’s a very hard niche market these days to even find and with inflation the prices should come in at least $300. I truly do not understand how clothes can cost so little compared to basic food ingredients. Something is very wrong with the current American economy.

Congratulations Justine! The collection looks amazing. Elegant yet practical, roomy but not exaggerated. Heavy duty strap, loots of pockets, attention to every detail. Best of all, it is made near my home town! You all can be sure that your bag will last you a lifetime. There's no better material for a purse or bag than leather. We have some of the most skilled artisans in the market. Specially in leather works like shoes and handbags. My favourite is the black purse. Surprised that you didn't go for cork for the alternative material. Portugal pretty much invented the idea. I have a messenger bag made out of it and it is still going strong.

How wonderful! Even better if the shoulder straps would come in colours that fully match the bags? Especially for the blue ones, the black is a bit harsh, since it would most likely be a summer bag. Also, really like monochromatic outfits, and with the black strap I would then feel a need for black shoes, and that I don’t like with light colours, as that is too high contrast… mainly for the blue and camel colour, but eventually also for the olive… would be so absolutely amazing ❤

Instantly in love with the Olive (especially for the cross-body--that construction! and the tote!), but I do wish it was available in the leather rather than (or as well as) canvas. I know you have to be very selective in your choices with limited runs, etc. so please don't take this as too much of a complaint! I'll have to check out the launch and see if one of the other colors calls to me the way that one does. I've found I'm just too hard on bags for canvas to make sense for me in the long-term. That said, these are gorgeous and I'm so excited to see them! Beautifully done, Justine. Congratulations on the lovely collection! Love the designs , the functionalities and the ethics of production. I buy my bags with the intention to use them for a long time. I especially love the tote because it is more structured and most importantly can be zipped up entirely which makes it great for traveling. However, it is missing purse feet. While I take good care of my bags, they tend to scuff up the the base so it is a feature that I appreciate.
