@@Itstits As a citizen in a Constitutional Republic you either follow the law or face the consequences. If you don't want to follow the laws like the vast majority of citizens do, there's no reason to be a citizen in a Constitutional Republic. A law can be invalidated, but until the hour it is, it is the law. Insuring a person using a watercraft had a PFD is unjust? Especially a watercraft not actually capable of being used as flotation in an emergency event? Not even the size of a shorty surf board. Seems this guy has far more common sense than you.

Dude, I hate dickhead cops as much as any other person, but it only seems like most out there are power hungry because that’s the only media you see when it comes to police. If you were to interact with one officer a day, you’d notice most aren’t power hungry boomers. Countless people like me who care about people and want to do something good for others in the community are applying into law enforcement right now. Media is so horribly censored in this country which is why the only time you see a police officer in a video, it’s always that one prick, when 10 other cops would’ve handled it completely differently. I grew up homeless, so I’ve had plenty of cops mistreat me along with my fam, but most were gracious to us. This is the whole reason I want to be in law enforcement. I really hope my generation can help make the relationship with communities and police better:) god bless.

@emmadilemma52744 ай бұрын
@@brandonmcgrew4367 You have to remember that people interact with the police. I get what you're saying because most of the time when dealing with police it has been easy and over quick. But I always think about the cop that pulled me out of my doorway and threw me down the stairs of my front porch and arrested me for obstructing an officer because I was trying to go back inside to get my ice water before I kept talking to them about the reason they were there (completely unrelated to me). Some cops do power trip, and being thrown 6 feet to the ground and stuck in county jail for the weekend just for the judge to tell you that you don't have to talk to the police unless you're being arrested and releasing you without charges kinda sticks with you more than the nice interactions. And you worry about it because you know if another cop starts power tripping, you are at his mercy. He can literally kill you and get away with it.

You could just walk home…… like I’m not against cops at all I’m just saying it literally doesn’t matter if someone is wearing an unnecessary safety piece if they don’t want to wear one. It would’ve been even better if the cop had just minded his own business. If the guy thinks that he is safe without one on and then drowns because he was wrong then that’s his problem. It literally hurts no one else.

@@gofastERdude what? He never threatened lethal force. We live in a country where citizens have the legal right to possess weapons capable of lethal force to protect themselves from threats to their lives and freedoms as well as the lives and freedoms of others. This results in a natural give and take, aka, an aspect of our social contract. We are given this freedom to make our own decisions regarding said threats. Naturally, some citizens make mad choices with this freedom. So, officers of the law are given the task of protecting citizens whom they know may be armed from other citizens they know may be armed. They are also tasked with making sure citizens abide by laws meant for the public welfare, like wearing a life-vest. It is insane to suggest that an officer of the law should not be armed with lethal force to protect himself or others when the citizens he deals with are often armed. Before you say he shouldn't need a gun because citizens shouldn't have guns, look at every authoritarian, freedom hating regime that's ever taken over a populace. One of the first things they do is take firearms and weapons away from the citizens so they can't fight back. Many, many Americans simply refuse to allow the government to take their weapons. They will deal with w.e consequences resulting from that choice. So, cops have to be armed and ready to use force. It's the opposite of tyranny
