@anglovirtual a guitarist is like a singer, a good one can sing (play) anything, they just choose whichever genre they like and stick with it. Justin is amazing at teaching foundational stuff, which develops a guitarist that can play anything he/she chooses.

Thank you for that lesson. I finally get the strumming now. I may not be a child, I am 58. A long time ago (30 odd years) I cut the tendon in my left ring finger which means I can not move the top part of that finger. To top it off I had a stroke 2 years back with some loss of motor skill in my left hand. The doctor suggested doing hand and finger exercises or playing an instrument. Started with a keyboard but that did not appeal to me. Then I saw Jake Shimabukuro and The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain and knew which instrument I wanted to learn. In past 3 months I mastered the cords mentioned, and then some. That is easy enough already, even the transitions. It is/was the strumming I struggling with. This video made it so easy. Hopefully I can get my 9 year old daughter on board agail. Thanks again.

The same intervals in the tuning, so a C on soprano is G on Bari - but it's the same shape! Not like chord in Open G tuning vs std on guitar. If a complete noob got a Bari by mistake and played a song - the concert pitch might be wrong, but the song would sound fine! :)
