An interviewer asked the Band Maid members if they got anything new during a hiatus. Miku and Misa said they purchased new guitars. I think Saiki said she purchased more chothes. When they asked Akane, the drummer, what she got. Her response was "more muscles".

Fans from 67 countries tuned into that amazing livestream, one of many BAND-MAID did during the pandemic. when people first heard Black Hole studio version on "Unseen World" many wondered how BAND-MAID would be able to pull that off live...well you got the answer...amazing controlled chaos that slows down with repeat listens. lyrics that Neil Peart(RIP) himself would approve of and BAND-MAID showing once again that you can't pigeon hole them to a specific genre.

This is why it was together with 'Manners'. It really shows their diversity. Regarding 'Black Hole'. Kanami (Lead guitar & composer) asked Akane how fast she could drum. Akane said around 190 bpm. So Kanami wrote Black Hole at 220 bpm! Then Akane went to work on the drum patterns for the song. She came up with 7 choices which she labelled 1. Easy 2. Comfortable 3. Normal 4. Possible if I work hard 5. Tough 6. Painful 7. Hell The band chose Hell. As Gary said - us fans were in heaven.

Honestly, she could have guessed the answer to this selection when Kanami is already challenging her at 220bpm. 😈 And as driven as Akane is to develop her skills, I'm sure 1-5 weren't entirely serious options either. 🤭 Anyway, I think it's impressive that she was able to deliver this song so excellently at the end of this approx 2 hour show. Yep, it was part of a live streaming concert during COVID. I love this song, it is wild. Even the vocal arrangement is intense. Sometimes all five of them are doing something different in sort of synchronized chaos. It doesn't get any better. I hope Kanami comes up with more like this in their next album, and Akane doesn't have heart attack when she gets the demos.

It was a great show! It does take a few listens to really get it. I've heard it hundred+ times and still find something new. Akane is actually a competitive eater, or can be. She needs the energy! She's boasted about eating many bowls of ramen. She's even eating in some of the videos. Check out some of the interviews with them. They are just as entertaining.

Regarding Black Hole Konami came to Akane and asked her what the highest BPM that she had drummed to. They then bumped it up a bit because Akane wanted a challenge! Also keep a close eye on Saiki's eyes!! Band-Maid is Jimmy Page approved!

The ladies did 3 (EDITED: let's call it between 3 and 8 🤣) live concerts during the 2 years the world was shut down and they streamed them all live. The last one was a 14 song acoustic concert where the ladies all got to wear their own clothes for once and they streamed it xmas day 2021. There are many beautiful acoustic versions of their songs on it but I don't think any of it is still available on YT. 'Black Hole' is a 220 BPM serving of controlled and precision chaos!

If you look at what the song is about, progressing and thr black hole idea, the frenzied and intensifying feel fits really well. This is one of my favorites. I'm a sucker for when they have almost dueling vocals like Miku and Saiki did in the one verse.

Great song and the entire Day of Maid was live streamed, I watched it live myself. They did a christmas live concert with many of there songs done entirely acoustic guitar. Take a look and Band Maiko. Still is band maid in their april fools day maiko costumes instead of maids. Gioncho is one song written for band maiko others like secret Maiko lips is a remake of their band maid song secret my lips. Miku(the rhythm guitarist, lyricist and leader) also has herself under the name cluppo. Also try to find some old live concerts for some of their ad libs, insane solos in between songs, the instrumentals like Onset and Miku's magic time

Clearly your looking in the wrong places. Gene Hoglan Aka "Atomic Clock" would like a word. Vinny Paul (Pantera, Damage Plan). And I'm sure if I do more digging I can find a bunch more. Those two are the first to come to mind.
