Yeah, this song was all over the radio in the 70s. Reminds me of summertime at the beach.

Yep early 70's certainly it was played quite a bit and then it would sneak in on classic rock stations mid to late 70's from my recollection...

Keyboards were from Nicky Hopkins,, a member of the group at that time not long after… then he went on to join the Rolling Stones for a number of years .Saw them a couple weeks after recording this in Fort Lauderdale Florida. A place called Pirates Cove great show and great chocolate mescaline. They played with Alex Taylor and friends also Dr. John the night tripper .Chuck Leavell was playing keyboards for them . He went on to join the Allman Brothers band a couple years later, then on to sea level, and then the Rolling Stones for over 40 years keyboard player and music Director. hard to believe in that one concert seeing two of the greatest keyboard players in rock history

Actually, their first album was from 1968. You definitely should check it out. Thanks for sharing this reaction.

I think you meant to say that this was the first single released from this album, not that it was the first album. It was actually their fourth album. My favorite video of them is doing Mona at Sonoma State U.
