No offense, but I was hoping to learn quite a bit more from your video by its title. I'm trying to figure this stuff out myself... so I'm not totally sure what the answers are - but I'm guessing if you really wanted to educate people on how to buy a dump truck, you might include: 1. the box styles available and how they match the type of work you plan to do (including whether to get an aluminum box versus a steel box). 2. discussing the gross vehicle weight of the truck, versus its dry weight and how that determines the size of load you can carry (but likely also mentioning how your local laws may also come into consideration too - so even if you managed to find a truck that could carry 30 tons - your local department of transportation may not allow you to carry a full load). I think there could maybe be a ton of discussion about weight? You could have a smaller engine and fewer tag axles, but in some situations that makes your truck lighter - which allows you to haul more material than a bigger badder truck in some cases. It also seems lbs per inch of tire weight also somehow is important... but again...I'm still learning, so I totally don't get it. 3. Most newbies that know nothing about buying dump trucks are heading off to a dealership to buy a new truck... so things to look for and compare in Used dump trucks I think would have been way more helpful. 4. Do all trucks come with a power divide / locking differentials? If not, maybe discuss why they may or may not be something to consider. 5. Turning radius! If you're planning to work in small subdivisions or tight places in cities - having a truck that turns tighter can be a game changer! 6. Ability to add a pup to your truck - is that something every truck automatically can do, or something you better know up front? Also are you going to hook up to a trailer and haul machines with your truck? Are all dump trucks ready to pull trailers with air brakes? Are you a moron for asking that question?? 7. Gearing / transmission. Does it matter how many gears a truck has? 8. Engines - what sizes are best for what uses? Just because you buy a Kennworth, doesn't mean all have the same brand engine (I believe I've seen both Cummins and Cat engines)... and I think there's likely a reason to know more about this. Ok - this has turned into a book of a comment. I'll probably get flagged for spam... and you'll probably just swear at me for being so nit-picky... but if you label your video "how to buy a dump truck"... maybe have the video be more helpful to newbies and actually attempt to answer the questions people may have on "how to buy a dump truck." Just a thought. Otherwise your video title should have been, "I bought a new dump truck and I go over the spec sheet in the last few minutes of the video." 🙄

60k creep suspension is at low speed check on it it usually is below 10 mph but he the 46k axles are rated at 60k Think about it when you are loaded and pick up the 3 pushers how much load is on the 3 remaining on the ground plus a shock load of hitting a hole

snap on's scanner for trucks blows. cummins Insite is expensive, like 1200 a year i think. wabco and bendix softwares are inexpensive though (abs). You would also need a nexiq 2 adapter, its a interface between the laptop and the 9 pin connector. If its a new truck, it has to be nexiq 2. Those run about $700. Another decent program is jpro and i've also seen the Texa system which seems to be decent.
