phenomenal tutorial. The best and most comprehensive one I've seen so far. One small point that I saw in the video that wasn't pointed out: when lifting your butt and extending your legs up, pulling your knees together during the movement helps it flow a bit better. I saw that was something you do :)

This is so incredibly helpful! I didn't think I could ever twerk! I mean, I'm still not great, but finally I can see myself tweaking for the first time in my life. The biggest thing for me was that I was in tension the whole time. But when I tried to relax the glutes when I popped my butt up, it made the biggest difference. Also having the weight on your knees. I'm so amazed. Thank you so so so much ❤

Try to focus on your hips and your tailbone, not your waist. If you focus on your waist you may end up arching your back and making your chest come forward. Also, maybe try leaning your weight on your toes, not your heels. At least those are the things that helped me improve. Hope it works for you!
