Ya, never would I be touching one like in the link like that, absolute mad lads. You see how fast they strike? Hell naa, say goodbye to your finger if tortalini is in a bad mood that day. Keeping it as a pet is fine as long as your not treating it as a dog/cat and you got the space - I've known people that have had small ones. They get pretty big though, them snapping turtles, and I imagine would be difficult to handle when they grow in size.

Dragonfly larvae (although creepy to some) are actually really fun to keep as pets, especially the species known as Darner dragonflies. They eat things like Bloodworms, Mosquito larvae and small fish, and all you need is a small tank with some rocks and stuff and a stick that reaches above the tank so the dragonfly has something to crawl onto when it goes through metamorphosis
@yanliwei9300 Жыл бұрын
(I find Darner larvae to be easier and more fun to keep because they are active predators that chase their prey, the species you found seem to be Clubtail/Skimmer larvae which are ambush predators with a smaller appetite )

This exact fight happened in my stepdad's canoe when I forgot to put the baby turtle back in it's bucket. The crawdad (crawfish) was what my stepdad was using for bait, and he let them run around in the middle of the canoe. This particular crawdad was five times the size of the first one in this video and the turtle was slightly smaller than the one in the video... the crawdad tried to claw the turtles face and before I could scoot over to grab them the turtle reached out and bit the crawdad's head off. I never questioned who would win this fight ever again. Easy win for the turtle, even with a big size disadvantage.

Yes this is correct, their Ca:P radio is 2:1 Does that mean everything they eat in the wild has this ratio? No, of course not. Don't be silly 😜 You wanna give them some fruit that's doesn't every month or two sure do that, just don't make it a staple of its diet. BUT it's really better to stick to it's ratios as all veggies it consume should also be 2:1.. There are fruit that's fills their need fyi. Ex. Casaba Melons - 2.2:1 Oranges - 2.9: 1 Papayas - 4.8:1 Regards,

I used to have a baby alligator snapper and his name was Albert. He was the size of a penny when I found him after a big rain. He was awesome, eventually though he killed one of my red ear named Dale. Broke my heart, I ended up letting Albert go back in the creek about 6 yrs after we found him. Hope he’s still out there doing well.
@Markerface2 жыл бұрын
You literally killed him you got him used to captivity and no predators so you put him out on a suicide mission. Dam that’s so messed up bro I can’t believe you. It’s people like you that’s wrong with the world no knowledge just letting it go because you THINK ITS RIGHT. SMH do us real animal lovers a favor and please don’t have any more pets or go around animals you are hurting them without even knowing because they don’t speak…
