Hola Rachelle. I live in northern California. With Covid I have had the opportunity to view several blogs about the Camino and I must say, I really enjoy the way you took your time and explored the towns, villages, cities, etc. the entire way. The first time I felt as though I really rushed through everything and did not take the time to truly savor the experience. Perhaps, that is why I have been jonesing to return so badly. I had plans to return and do just that (purchased a one-way ticket so I could take my time) May/June of 2020. Alas, Covid had other plans. Was so disappointed. But I shall return. You did a lovely job. Buen Camino.

Thank you so much for following along! I was lucky enough to have some extra time, though I realize that is not always possible for many people. I hope you are able to return one day soon! Until then, be well and Buen Camino!!

I really enjoy watching your videos. I was supposed to begin my Camino this September - now I’m hoping for September 2021. As disappointed as I am, I find your adventures very comforting. It reassures me of what lies ahead. Keep the videos coming!

Amazing how you stop at the same places I did. I also ate some breakfast at that little bar. I ordered orange juice and beet juice. I had never tried that combination before and I really liked it. So much so that I make it here at home. Thanks for jarring my memory cells with your great videos. This one is a treat because it is earlier than some of your other videos.

Wow! Beuatiful views. I've been following your journey alone with John Brierley's pilgrim's guide and have wonder about the route through Dragonte. Have read that its a hard walk, so thank you for the info. Like your courage, some thing to look forward to.

It’s a wonderful walk and really not too difficult if prepared for the elevation changes and allow yourself enough time to finish the route. Water is found in many of the towns along the way, but you need to bring your food for the whole day. Other than that, a brilliant, quiet day in the solitude of nature. 😊👣

As always Rachelle, a video with amazing views and narration! While you were enjoying your yogurt, I was listening to the chorus of birds. Big thumbs up 👍🏻. Thank you again for bringing us along.

Hello, I was probably a few days behind you. I was at Leon when the rain started and you're already past O'Cebreiro. Incidentally, I'm not sure if you know but that little church you visited in O'Cebreiro is one of the gems of the Camino de Santiago. A miracle took place there in the 14th Century where during a mass at the moment of the consecration, the host physically turned into flesh and the wine into blood. You didn't show it but I'm sure you saw it but on the right side of the church, there's an altar where the very Paten and the Chalice is displayed under glass. I spent a lot of time at this Church praying and it's one of the main highlights of my trip. If you want to learn more, you can google: "miracle of O'Cebreiro" God Bless and stay safe.

I am really happy that I found and subscribed to your channel. Not only are your intrepid and impressive determination to challenge yourself providing very useful information about walking the Camino, you also remind me of my sister. She was as adventurous and brave as well as "magayon" as you. I love the infos you share about the ascends and descends, the panoramas, and the albergues where you stayed. Immensely helpful. Enjoy you vlogs tremendously. Stay safe and healthy always. Cheers!

I've binge watched your entire journey (so far) over the past two days - perfect escape from the current covid-19 situation! I would absolutely love to walk the camino (I've dreamt of it since my dad walked the northern route over ten years ago and then writing a dissertation with a chapter on pilgrimage), but I fear I've missed my chance now until the children are a bit older. Still, I can't help researching, putting together kitlists and looking at alburgues as if I could hop on a plane and start tomorrow! A couple of questions that might seem basic and you may have already answered and I missed: you mention in several videos checking the ellevations and GPS...was this just using the photographed pages from books on your phone, or did you use a specific app? Are there phone apps you would recommend? I would be so terrified of missing the way markers or opportunities for alternate routes. Secondly, what is the minimum amount of cash you would carry in euros on a daily basis? Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us all. I've laughed, cried and sang along with you each day posted so far. xx

Oh, wow! Thank you so much for watching and for sharing your story! You will make your Camino when it's the right time, but I know how exciting the planning and dreaming can be (I'm dreaming of my next Camino, too, lol)!! As for your questions, I'll try to do my best to answer in this space. But I do plan on doing a Q&A once the rest of the videos are uploaded. So here goes: 1) I used TrailSmart app for checking my location offline while I was on the Dragonte route. All other times, I simply followed the arrows (very well labeled) and reviewed my route the night before, 2) I carried no more than 200 euros at a time and tried to used my credit card wherever possible. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out! I hope you are staying safe and Buen Camino!!

So happy you’re enjoying the videos. 😊 I’m wearing my favorite trail runners-Altra Lone Peak 4.0 (I got a half size larger). I have the regular mesh version, but they make them in a waterproof one as well as both versions in a higher ankle mid. 👣

Hi Rachelle, I've been watching your camino blogs and they inspire me to want to go on one as soon as it's safe to travel. May I ask you a question? Do you have Filipino lineage? I had been wondering this since I started watching your blogs because you look very Pinay and in this blog you focused on that Tagalog book inside a church. Pls keep your blogs coming...very informative and nicely done. Buen Camino!
