Ì've never heard a preacher talk about his possessions. As a Catholic, I'm used to priests taking vows of poverty. They live in a modest home, drive an average car, and their trips are usually free because they gather enough other church members to go on the trip too, so they get a free ride. Mylon was one of my Christian heros when I was in high school. His story of growing up in a Christian family but not knowing Christ, having a song he wrote recorded by Elvis, getting saved at a Second Chapter of Acts concert. Working as a custodian at a church until God used him to start a ministry that shared the gospel with several hundred thousands teens (including me) inspired me so much in my walk with Christ. I had the honor of chatting with him at a dinner for the stage help at one of his concerts in 1987. We were al in a group at a Golden Coral restaurant. One of the locals asked him to say thanks for the meal I will never forget him standing in the chair with his hands lifted shouting his thanksgiving to the Lord. I couldn’t help but watch the folks that removed their hats and respectfully stopped in prayer. The scripture says “you will know them by their fruit”. I wax a follower of Christ before I even heard of Mylon but he ministered to me and earned my respect. I’m sad to hear he had anything to do with KC. But I have to admit there are many in Christian Rock history that might not be Christian. I have no doubts about Mylon himself as a follower of the Savior but my heart breaks that he may have made some poor choices later in life. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

I've followed his Biblical teachings on prosperity (for the sake of blessing others) and have been blessed and have been used by God sovereignly to bless a lot of people. Yes, I felt a strong anger to not give to Marilyn Hickey, and, I like her ministry, but I don't give to her anymore. I stopped tithing, to preachers, and give to those who are in need. To add to it, I came out of catholic church, went to charismatic church, non denomination church, and a baptist church. I have found that most church's teach some basics but throw in man's rules. Read and seek the Lord God with all your heart mind and soul. Knock and keep knocking and He will open the door and a relationship with you. There are some great teachers. I study the bible better under Jacob Prasch. I have morning bible study with a fellow brother from Albuquerque. In the morning. When the churches closed their doors during COVID, this showed me who was controlled by the government or God. Jesus never closed His doors! I am here to encourage you for our hope is not in man but God and the changing from our immortal bodies to immortal through the Blood and resurrection of Jesus Christ only Amen. I used to follow KC back in the 80s, I grew up without any relationship with a cruel father, so it was easy for me to follow prosperity preachers, finally God in his mercy showed me that what was most important to him was a personal relationship with him as a father who loved me. Now that’s most important to me, God is good and he’s a father to me, I love to sit at his feet and spend time with him. He loves fellowship with his kids.

My grandparents were missionaries to Africa and pastored a church in Oklahoma. They were pretty wealthy but they lived like they were poor. I never knew they had money until I got in my 20s. Gpa would always offer to buy everyone tickets to Africa if they’d come help put up tabernacles. He was the greatest man of God I’d ever personally knew. I miss him dearly. Now I’m in my mid 30s and I’d give anything to be able to talk to him about what’s going on in the world today. He’s in heaven so I wouldn’t wish him back. I barely get by from week to week but I’m rich in spirit because of what Jesus did for us.
