I identify with sewerslvt's music on such a deeply personal level. From the identity struggles, to bpd/did/ptsd/suicidal ideation and self harm to csa/sa trauma to death of a very close loved one at the worst possible time- (honestly in a quite similar situation... except he wasnt my lover... he was my big brother... ) And I honestly cant listen to Sewerslvt's music without crying, but I also cant.. NOT listen to her music.. its so freaking addicting...

I went back through some of Jvnko's old albums- and while some of the songs are either lower quality than most of what we know, I can't help but see my own thoughts, the exact same unspoken screams, and the exact sort of mental disarray all in these. I used to know her, and honestly, the more I delve into her works, the more I wish I could just hug her. Because she gave form to many things that a lot of us don't have a way to articulate, and should we try, most of us would get brushed aside because you're supposed to just not hurt because other people have been hurt. And that torment isn't the same for all people, and I wish some people would get that. From the bottom of my heart, Jvnko, if you ever do read this, I enjoyed what time we spent talking together. And most importantly, even at my absolute lowest points, your music, and what you express with the things that got you cancelled, remind me exactly why I shouldn't replicate those things. Thank you.

@@horseface470Yeah, we met on discord while she had it (deleted account). It was by complete accident in a street racing related server, and she was as sweet as could be and acted almost exactly as you'd expect. But one thing she mentioned, she never really listens to her own music, because she thinks it's corny to do that

@@Sukiicore Totally agree with that. Blacklight, is real music for me, it's able to transfer so many feelings and emotions, just as music is meant to do, but this one really does it the best.

@@Sukiicore idk if you already know the song, but I find "Pain of relief (We have our vices one and all)" from Goreshit to have this same mental "pression". It literally give insanity a voice, these songs that are able to convey that much emotions always get me

"Her" is... such a pain-stricken track. The distress leaks from it like a burst pipe, it oozes from the surface like nothing else Jvne has ever made. The climax strikes like a knife dug straight into the chest and sits there, burning with a molten, searing heat, as you feel all of Jvne's pain scream forth at you, in a final moment of tortured anguish. Before slumping to the metaphorical floor and curling up, whimpering as the pain slowly leaks away, the beat slowly mellowing out again. It's the feeling of violent suicide and the feeling of finally giving up as the life drains from your body, put into music. It's thoroughly unique, in a sense. I can only imagine the amount of sadness Jvne went through making her last album, what with their girlfriend having taken her life shortly before... Makes Jvne's exit from the EDM scene so poignant. Not many people have lived the life they have, not that that's a good thing... I prefer to call Jvne's music "Emo Trance", as opposed to Breakcore, partly because I'm splitting hairs despite talking about a genre so wide and varied it's impossible to keep up with all the separate subgenres, but because this music brings forth so many more emotions than I think true breakcore really could for me, so much sadness and melancholy, interspersed with these raw, angry moments when the beat drops. It's beautiful to me. And sorely needed to bring forth my bottled emotions, so it's kinda like therapy but not really. I just hope that Jvne is as safe as possible out there, having put all this behind them... I wish them all the best, whilst I bop along to their tracks. (Also apologies for rambling I guess :p)

hey guys im looking for a breakcore song that i cant find. one thing i recall from it is that towards the end its calm and theres a voice saying "do your best!" a couple of times along with giggling and some other things i think. if any of you know it please tell me! id really like to listen to it again edit, just as i suspected, it is from sewerslvt. the tracks name is "Jvnko still loves you"

Jvne is legitimately the only breakcore artist i listen to. Maybe i got spoiled but no one even comes close to her sound. Ive yet to hear anyone else have the same impact and emotions with their music. I dont understand why ppl think her music is lazy. It's far from lazy imo. Its transcendental (trans pun intended)

I’m in the same situation as you but a as far as close vibes to jvne’s with with equal amounts of emotion goes, i love Mayyro’s work. His stuff has gotten me through whenever I really miss jvne. Spacebar and Follow Them are my favorites

I think breakcore is unique as a sub genre because of it aesthetic, much like sythwave has the 80's vibe. Breakcore more closely reminices the 90's "disc-age" stereo cornacopia of sounds and nostalgia inducing tones. Elements that I think are often over looked in main-stream Drum and Bass. What do you guys think?😁

I think that breakcore is a much better repackaging/reimagining of other music/sound bites, where current rap kind of just remixes certain sounds. I've always appreciated that about modern hip-hop but breakcore does it to the extreme. It's so cool when you recognize a bite in breakcore but it's 100% different from its original in tone and included in various creative ways. It also typically expresses different ideas than a lot of mainstream music, much more personal while also being loud and bombastic a lot of the time. It's a great balance that Sewerslvt always seems to achieve perfectly.

sadly nowhere, dnb is a niche, this is a niche within dnb. most dnb played in clubs is more like EBM with acid elements, mainly the rhtyhm/bpm are all they have in common. liquid comes in second. then jungle. and this actually has more in common with jungle than anything. that said you ever find a place let me know and ill be there

its crazy how you'll just leave 30 seconds of silence between tracks, like i humbly but ask of thee why must thou do this? one job you had, one job - you really said who needs a mix of songs leading into each other seamlessly that would've taken 15 minutes to procure in a free software when you can have the exact opposite of that.

They are seamlessly together. I remember leaving no spaces in between, a lot of her songs just have long fading endings that become quiet, and starts that are build up.
