While I've become accustomed to seeing your amazing home brewed bracketry, you really can't go past a stainless bracket with neat cuts and bends for 25 bucks! As always, some nice work and I'm always blown away by the technology that's gone into this build.

I like mounting the filter in the same spot, for what its worth its in a nice stream of airflow, aids in cooling. Just gotta be mindful of road debris!

I used one of those on a '73 baja bug build I did, and the wires on it melted after about a month of driving the car, and it stopped working. I hope you have better luck with it than I did. I replaced it with another high torque starter, and never had a problem with the replacement. I'm not sure why that wires on the Wasp got so hot. I made no electrical changes to the car, and just replaced the starter.

That's weird... normally overheating like that comes from an electrical short, poor grounding or improperly gauged cables.

I never liked those oil filter brackets that attach to the exhaust port studs. You just end up heating up your oil filter adapter, and hence the oil. Not the best idea for the oil filter. Granted the oil then transfer to the external oil cooler, in your setup, but a lot of people don't have the external oil cooler.
