First time on your channel but wanted to comment that the Dodgers aren't gearing for a trade(I know you were just throwing it out), they are gearing for a 6-man rotation next season. Mark Prior, in an interview recently, said that the biggest hurdle to a 6-man rotation would be starting depth. If injuries hit you during the season, you can't suddenly decide to go back to a 5-man again. So starting depth has to be there to be able to keep a 6-man going.

The Dodgers capitalized on that & are now printing money because of it. Players want to win & get paid & get better while doing it. They offer ALL of that. I genuinely believe the dodgers will go with a 6 7 or possibly an 8 man rotation. Yes 8. They will make it work by basically having 2 piggyback starters. Most likely Kershaw and Ohtani since they are coming off injury. Rotation would go something like Yamamoto, Snell, Glasnow, Sasaki, Ohtani/Kershaw, Gonsolin/May. 8 starters with 5 high leverage relievers. Wouldnt be surprised

It would definitely make sense to give pitchers more rest by design due to all these pitching injuries and losing pitchers for multiple games or the whole season. I don't know why something like this isn't common. Even if MLB has to change its system to make it work then they should do it. Even running a 6 man rotation with a spot starter as a 7th would be great but you need depth with people good enough to start and give you at least 5 full innings.

As a dodger fan snell was always my choice over fried because of his strikeout numbers compared to fried , where fried doesn’t have that punch out stuff and has had some arm injuries just to iffy already and the dodgers always have had issues with facing snell And yeah can’t have to much pitching consider how are injuries have been especially this year I think we still go after Roki and walker , Clayton has said he is coming back but probably won’t sign closer to spring training

Braves fan. Fried doesn’t strike out a ton but he can have games where he strikes out 12-14. He gets tons of ground balls and soft contact. That curveball is right up there with kershaw. I’m biased but he’s better than snell . I know the cy young’s and everything but he’s come in second and had several top 5 finishes. Snell is the most inconsistent cy young winner I’ve ever seen.z.

I told you yesterday that there's no way they would trade their farm away for Crochet when they would absolutely be signing one of the big-3 pitchers this offseason. Snell > Fried > Burnes. Friedman was with the Rays when they drafted Snell, and he's been trying to acquire him for a couple years now. It was predictable. Want another hot take? They're still kicking the tires on Fried too, because he *really, really* wants to go home and sign in LA. They'll be running a 6-man rotation next year, and most of their available arms are currently hurting, returning from injury, or likely to get injured again.

Hard to see Roki not going to the Dodgers now. He needs a six man rotation for his health issues, and only the Dodgers can guarantee it. Other teams could try but with the injury crisis in MLB it’s hard enough to get five starters let alone six. Plus he will have to deal with what Ohtani dealt with with the angels which is the other five starters despising him because their routine gets messed up. I think the Dodgers gonna use Roki Sasaki as a relief pitcher. He throws way too hard and has injury history to be throwing as a starter. He won't have enough innings and he's still needing to transition from NPB to MLB. He didn't throw enough innings in Japan last couple seasons. It's very easy to get injured as a starter when you throw too hard. That's what happened with Mason Miller of Oakland As. He went from starter to reliever because he threw 100-104 MPH. Plus Dodgers let Honeywell Walk. There's room for Bullpen. Sasaki could right in bullpen with 100MPH FASTBALL and Sweeper Slider.

@heathenhawk853 Chicago would be a nice spot for Sasaki with Seiya Suzuki and Shota Imanaga there but the Cubs are a mid team and not a playoff team. Roki Sasaki wants to win and be on best team where he's comfortable with what he wants. I think he's better off with Dodgers with Ohtani & Yamamoto. They're building a dynasty and bringing in Roki will lead them there. They all won WBC with Japan last year for 2023 WBC. Ohtani and Yamamoto won a Japan Series before WBC title and MLB. Roki Sasaki never won a Japan Series with Chiba Lotte Marines even though he won in WBC with 2023 Japan team. His team always made playoffs in NPB but always lost in Climax Series. Padres also in on Sasaki and Yu Darvish is friends with Roki Sasaki as well. Yuki Matsui on team too. Roki Sasaki has options and every team will want him but it comes down to which team is best fit for him. He ends up with Dodgers regardless and helps Ohtani and Yamamoto in building a dynasty after winning World Series to my Yankees.

They should have walked up with a blank cheque book and said write in what you want. Signed him, then offered the best money to Soto, with Vladdy on board already.
