I totally get the focus for the Giants being on adding a starter and getting bullpen help. Overall the picks would be nice. However for position players the Giants need a SS more than a 1B and if money is tight I think the Giants could benefit more from signing position players than strengthening the bullpen. Giants have 3 long relievers (Beck, Winn, and Rouppe) which can help if we are short in the pen. I see the priority being Kim, Burnes, and signing a 1B FA THEN if their is anything left, signing BP arms.

love your Astros projections. gotta get Bregman back, the bat is needed and the glove work can't be replaced. the Astros are loaded with ground ball pitchers and there's a clear difference on defense in games without Bregman. and Naylor would be a huge upgrade at 1st base,a much needed bat. i do hope they can also add 1 outfield bat. CF and LF hitters were awful this past season

Idk if this is just me, but for the jays I really dont think they need to go out and sign a big DH like Joc, instead spend that money on getting another SP to move Yariel to the bullpen, or spend that money on a RP or 2, instead just bring in Orelvis full time to be the DH. He's still looked good in the minors since coming back from his suspension and is a good enough hitter for the MLB. Just dont let him field and you're fine.

No, people need to stop with the Alec Bohm trade talk. We want him to stay in Philly! Trade Marsh or Castellanos and get a bat or two that’s fairly consistent. A 4 or 5 starter is needed to replace Walker and I’m hoping Painter has a good spring training and he finally makes the big club. Bullpen I agree with…we continue to need help there.

Luzardo has almost no worth due to his injury history, why no one has taken a flyer on him. As for new York, they over rate their prospects like you. Volpe is nothing more than average every day player and new York wants to salary dump Stroman, the facts do support what I'm saying. As for Spencer Jones, he fell off the top 100 prospect pipeline, he has real issues staying healthy and not striking out. I remind you Correa is top 5 SS in mlb, he has only 4 years left in contract where his first year will be reduced to 18 million due MN eating Stroman contract, after that Correa only has three years in guarantees money till it turns into a team option.

The plan right now is for Jazz to stay at 3b and promote Caleb Durbin to play 2b. It's not ideal but it's more than a nothing move. Gio would be a nothing move. It would be pointless. If a better path presents itself then we're talking, but the Yankees rightly see Durbin as a better bet than something that doesn't move the needle at all like Gio. LeMaheiu will not be starting. 1b is an unknown right now.

Why would the Dodgers trade for Robert -- especially if they sign Kim? If Kim play SS, then Edman would move to CF full time and LA would need another corner OF, like Teoscar, who is way better than Robert.

My Padres should look to trade with BOS. Get 2B Kristian Campbell (MLB Top 10 prospect) and SS Arias (Top 100). Send them Cease for TOR starter, Croneneworth (with some $) to improve woeful 2B defense, Matt Waldron with 5 years control (looked like Wakefield for stretches in first year). If not that, replace Waldron with Robert Suarez and they eat the Crone contract too. They are in the playoffs with that, and we offset costs of rising salaries, and hopefully pick up Sasaki and another top FA arm. That's my ideal trade partner.

I don't think the Red Sox would make that trade. Cease is only signed for one more season, they don't need Waldron, and they wouldn't really want Cronenworth, even if his contract wasn't under water.

Waldron I get, that's why I substituted Suarez also, who's another need. Not wanting Crone is understandable, but he is a definite upgrade to the lousy D on that side. Anyway, all 3 are MLB ready and upgrades that move the needle forward, but I was just seeing your thoughts as a Pads fan.

I could see Walker Beuhler or Monty but they need 1's or 2's and Walker is close to that but Monty is not... At All...
