FUN FACT: During a interview the director said that about 70 percent of the script was improvised by Denzel Washington! This includes his famous "King Kong ain't got shit on me!" line which Denzel made up on the spot! This role was a big for Denzel at the time because this was the first time he played a villain. Denzel finally won his Best Actor Oscar for this performance.

The point of the movie was to show how great manipulator operate. Your little voice told you all movie that Alonzo is bad but he keep on saying that it has to be done so you don't question his methods. You think, is it a test? He is saying some truth stuff to justify his actions. When they shot Rosgers, it confirmed what you kinda knew all the film but it"s this shocking nonetheless..
