Sādhu, sādhu. Thank you for doing this video and chanel. Here is a comment or two... * "Ayana" also means "solstice" (arudhapada-artha for jyotish context). This is also interesting in "jyotiṣaṁ ayanam cakṣuḥ" - as it implies that vedāṅga jyotiṣa will have something important to do with solstice. * An important example of seasonal rituals that require calculation of ayana is anything timed by saṁkrānti, the most famous beign makara-saṁkrānti. * Actually, it is not "influence" from jyotish. Only karma has "influence." But kāla is the śakti by which karma exerts its influence for ārabdha. As you noted, jyotish calculates and examines kāla. We are examining the unfolding of karma. The jyotikas are like hands on the clock, showing us the state of the maturation of the karmas. The jyotikas are not kartā. (when you consider this way, you will not have to think of jyotisha as a "different approach" from the fundamental Vedic mechanic, karma)

All peyarchi are based on the brahma jyoti i.e. graha not on the physical planet movement. Jyoti means light and isha means god. Light god, Brahma jyoti. The Navagraha are nine divine light not planets. A very big misunderstanding
