when he talked about the differential and says ( chevy 14 bolt " shaved ") does he means the differential has been shorten ?

The bottom of the differential was trimmed to allow more clearance. The width of the entire axle was also narrowed.

@@khaledkhaled6181 It used to be manual and the owner converted it to automatic. It makes easier to climb off road.

Jason I have an FJ40 that I’m doing my best to restore. I love a lot of the same features that this has. This is what I’ve been looking for. He did a few things different here that I really like. my FJ I’m going to extend 38 inches and I wanting to use the chassis from a Toyota tundra single cab short bed with the 5.7 V8 I absolutely love the color of this FJ, Super sharp!

It's legal in California! You can do anything you want to vehicles made under the year 1975.
