Madam, everything was perfectly prepared as you had said.. Idly was normal BECAUSE, the special and unique fragrance of Kanchipuram idly was missing . I remember my mother making this when she was alive, once in two months. When enter our home itself we would know the smell & fragrance that days dinner is Kanchi idly. Why with this recipe that fragrance is missing. Please advise. Thank you

You can make.Same measurement.But Soak Varagu rice separately for 6 hrs.Dhal separately for 1 hr.While grinding any millet, do not add more water.Grind varagu for less time and then add urad. Grind coarsely.Rest is as in that video.

Very favourite dish - Kanchipuram Idli- your method is so nice & easu. whenever we travel, we like to take in hand, kids lunch box spl, sudden guests visit, party time spl dish. I will try this idly recepi, one more thing i want to say is that i bought a sweet receip book and tried wheat halwa,your measure was 1:6 glass water, i proceeded the same , it took long time,but came out well. But in other videos they do nt add any water and they add ghee and started stirring,when itstarted came out from the sides they added sugar and made it . Which way is correct?

In tumbler 20 minutes is enough.Size of the tumbler matters. Try once. You will be to find the correct time. You get a good smell also when it is done
