The difference between RIOT and VALVE : RIOT uses the money they earn/acquired to service the fans and colab with big names while having enough for the worlds championship while VALVE does not but instead funneling every penny they have into the prizepool. That being said, not just VALVE but companies like Blizzard could do this too.
