I've found their service to be excellent.. most people who say they were "cheated" usually don't understand the different terms used in Vehicle Insurance.. they take third party insurance not even knowing that the such insurances don't even cover own damage.. and then they go about saying they did not get insurance money..

5:00 Comprehensive cover or full insurance does not imply nil depreciation or what is commonly referred to as bumper-to-bumper coverage. Nil depreciation is an additional add-on that must be purchased separately.

If IDV is low another catch is that in case of a major accedent but repairable case, the insurance agency accounting to >70% of the IDV as repairing cost can be considered as a total loss. You have no other option but to accept it as total loss. Then the interesting part is that the insurance company will repair it and will resell the same car. They will force you to sell the totalled car in some ones name to get the settlement.

@@Oneiros123It is an insurance company's wish. Subrogation is one of the principles of insurance. Total loss doesn't necessarily mean the vehicle is unusable. It simply means the repair cost is more than the IDV. Once a vehicle is declared as a total loss and the insurance company compensates us with the IDV, they get the full title over the vehicle. They can still repair it and sell it for a higher price.
