I didn't know Luke lost a ton of weight because he was sick and could've died, made me feel horrible for looking at him like he was less attractive than his brother. His wife and him are so cute in their interviews!

I enjoy their music but was absolutely horrified by the machism portrayed in their movie "Priceless". Downright disgusted actually, and really really shocked. Many good elements, and an interesting story-line, but the women are portrayed as weak, almost non-existent, damsel-in-distress, placeholders for the male character to show off his so called "chivalry", by use of extreme violence and stupidity. All you needed to do was ask a woman for her input and the whole movie would have been worth your time and effort, and worth mine too. If I can give you one piece of advice: next time, don't liken rape victims to walking corpses. Loosing one's virginity via rape does not mean you're as good as dead; IT IS NOT the end of his or her life. A woman's worth DOES NOT rely on a piece of skin tissue?!! [EDIT] This was only one issue out of several. But since it was asked, here is the exact quote said to the rapist pimp in the story: "You are a murderer. There's no difference between a murderer and someone who steals a girl's innocence and kills her soul." I understand some may think this is an over reaction but this is actually a really harmful idea that gets passed around in religious circles around the world about women's worth - and therefore life - being tied to their bodies and the double standards that are created the moment you are born in a female body. This quote is representative of an unconscious bias they have learnt that is dangerous and absolutely not Biblical. It's a man-made idea that is used - whether consciously or not - as a weapon to control, punish and silence. I'm all for sexual intimacy being kept for two spouses so please don't misunderstand me, because this isn't about that. :)

Joanna I don't think so, the main woman was portrayed as a fighter, she fought for her and her sister throughout the whole movie. However most of the women ARE weak. (This isnt there fault) they've been abused and sexually taken advantage of at such a young age. Wouldn't you expect them to be? No disrespect to you, I mean if you've gone through abuse like that and stayed strong that is an amazing feat. But I think going through that experience multiple times a day damages a person, and if they act strong after that, it is most likely a facade hiding there pain. However the message of the film is that there is hope and healing. After experiencing those dreadful acts they can be be set free from that burden through Christ Jesus. That was what they were trying to get through to the audience, they most definitely were not trying to demean girls and women. 😊☺❤
