I opened an old YT acct today, and went to my first "favorites" playlist and this was the first video ever saved. I now remember that almost 15 years ago that I created that playlist JUST for this video. I love this song. I love Kim Pate. That's who is to me. I had the pleasure of dancing behind her in high school and even witnessed her be crowned our Queen as Miss OHS. I remember when I learned she had this INCREDIBLE voice, when she sang "Pink Cadillac" and being BLOWN away by her many many talents. I was encouraged when I saw her graduate and go to college (on a yodeling scholarship!!) and begin to work even harder to make sure I graduated too and excelled as well. K. has been a constant reminder in my life that a little girl from Memphis can go anywhere and do ANY thing her heart desires. I wanna thank GOD, publicly for the life and witness of K. Michelle. Her journey hasn't been an easy one. But she, with The LORD's Help, kept pressing towards higher and higher. Watching her triumph has kept me encouraged for so many years and I'm happy to give her the flowers she deserves while she is alive. 🌺💕🌺💕🌺💕🌺💕🌺💕🌺 I'm not sure if she will ever see or hear of this message, I didn't post it for attention; I just felt compelled as I sang along, to write something to let the world know how awesome K. really is, IRL.
