Wow, wow, wow! Very interesting information about our dear departed versatile legendary actor Krishna Niranjan(K.N.) Singh Sahib who largely essayed the villain's roles and left a lasting impact upon thousands of his fans' minds. He was one of most favourite villains among my friends' circle. We would frequently praise his big floating eyes with comments like 'K.N. Singh's eyes speak'! Howrah Bridge is one of the best films, besides Awara, CID, Do Chor, Barsaat, Barsaat Ki Raat, Baaz, Baazi, Woh Kaun Thi, An Evening In Paris, Teesri Manzil to name but a few. R.I.P. Sigh Sahib!

May his soul attain sadgati . Day before yesterday was his 23rd death anniversary. He and Pran Saab were two of the greatest villains in Hindi cinema. As a child I recall the several films I watched of his. One film that still stands out is Howrah Bridge.... He spelt class all the way.... No doubts about this at all. ThanQ Shishir ji for bringing K. N. Singh back to life with this lovely clip that was very well researched.

yes Sir and I was lucky enough to see him on DADAR railway station early morning when I was coming from Baroda for Interview in RBI in 1964....He was in suit and came to recv some o his Guests!!!!! He has a peculiarity of taking out smoke from Cigar in ROUND RINGS and in one of the film his such RING has been photographed as a GARLAND TO HEROINE NECK!!!!!! jsk SD USA...

They were educated at Panchgani, then even more expensive than Doon School or any school in India. I guess he must have paid for it. When he had no Children from his "Legitimate Spouses", what was the problem acknowledging them. At least it would have given the lady an Honourable Exit.

सर इस बारे में मैं कुछ नहीं कह पाऊंगा। एक फ़िल्म पत्रकार के ठीक विपरीत एक फ़िल्म इतिहासकार का कार्य बेहद गंभीर होता है, और उसे गॉसिप्स और मसालेदार / सनसनीखेज खबरों से दूरी बनाए रखनी होती है। और फिर मैं तो फिल्मोद्योग के अंदर का ही व्यक्ति हूं, मेरी ज़िम्मेदारी इसलिए भी बढ़ जाती है क्योंकि मुझे रिश्तों और अपनी विश्वसनीयता और सम्मान का भी ध्यान रखना पड़ता है। इसलिए आपके प्रश्न का उत्तर दे पाना मेरे लिए संभव नहीं है। और अगर के.एन.सिंह साहब के परिजनों से इस विषय में बात करूं, तो कहीं पिट न जाऊं। आशा है मेरी मजबूरी को आप समझेंगे, आभार।
