Since some might wonder where the song ‘navillera’ is in here: unfortunately it wasn’t in the list I used to make this video when I made it. So sorry for that! But I discovered the song also through their killing voice video, for which I also made a reaction that will come out next week for you guys :)

Mago was never meant to be their disbandment song and really it’s not. Source Music terminated their contracts for reasons that are still not fully known but the girls themselves never saw themselves as disbanded and they have said this several times on record. So now that they are back to celebrate their 10th anniversary with a new album I think we can finally remove the disbandment song title from Mago.

Gfriend has btw their own storyline. I'm sure you noticed a few things here in there. I think the beauty out of it is to connect the things for yourself. However i would like to point some things out. Gfriend released for their last 2, 3 Albums some little Fairytale books. It's basically saying that all of them became friends during school (Glass Bead, Rough, Me Gustas Tu and kinda Navillera) then they all gained some powers in a little lake (Love Whisper) after that they became a bit jealous and began to fight (Navillera, Fingertip, Crossroads). Eunha was trying to solve this by using butterflies she got in a shop. With them she can time travel and she did it a few times (it's been a while since I read those so idk anymore when she uses them. i think after every major fight they had). Anyway, with each butterfly/time travel she has to pay a price. Their glass beads turn darker (Corssroads) their Glass Beads kinda showed their innocence. (also the storyline changed because of the butterfly effect, you got it :) ) After Crossroads they felt into the temptation (Apple) and became witches (Apple, Mago) but somehow also freedom. So the story definitely didn't stop there, however because of the depature with the company it ends right here. (for now).

Actually Their B-side songs in the albums are as good as the title songs too. Hope you can react to them. GFriend also known as knife-liked dancer too. They have done a blindfolded dance that so amazing. Hope you can check it out.

They were forced to disband. Termination of contract or something. That's why it felt like their last song was left hanging. The members only knew last minute and suddenly it was official 🥲Their upcoming album is titled Season of memories. If you listen carefully many of their songs especially older ones kinda have this feeling of nostalgia in them. Probably because of the strings/orchestral elements. But i can see that album will brought them back to their older sound. But I do hope they will still include their 'witching' sound. Can't wait 😍

Now idk if u usually do reactions to dance practices, but when it comes to gfriend, watching their dance practices is a must! :D gfriend is well known for their knife-like choreo and synhcronizarion dance, watching their dp is so satisfying. They even has a dance practice for Mago where they did the 1st verse with blindfolds

These girls did not suffer a disband, but a betrayal by SouMu-Hybe who, in their desire to debut new groups, had to get rid of GFRIEND for being very popular, but contrary to Hybe's musical interests and projects. So the contract was ILLEGALLY terminated months before it actually expired. In a demonstration of greed, SouMu-Hybe wanted to take ownership of the name away from the girls, which was rejected 18 times in court, with Sowon, Yerin, Eunha, Yuju, SinB and Umji now being legal owners of the GFRIEND brand and their own stage names. GFRIEND the perfect group: SIX singers, dancers, comedians, variety artists, with different personalities that complement each other like no other Kpop group. The ONLY kpop group that can dance to any of their songs blindfolded. No one else has done it successfully. In addition to having an IMMACULATE discography. For all of the above, GFRIEND is a Legend; the irreplaceable, essential, unrepeatable group.

Hope you enjoyed the MVS! I was amazed that you were able to knit the story just from the MVs. I remember reading whole paragraphs of people explaining how all the MVs are connected just so I can understand it, especially that there were some parts of the story in the album photobooks.

Just so you know All Gfriend songs have a meaningful lyrics that's why i started to stand them. They have one of the most beautiful lyrics wise songs in Kpop.

Someone already mentioned this, but yeah the lyrics in Sunny summer is so creative :D all the members names were mentioned and used for the lyrics as they're korean words (except for Yerin and Yuju, they are just names) 52:48 Yerin 53:13 Sinb (mysterious) 53:47 Umji (thumbs) 53:49 Eunha (milky way/galaxy) 54:55 Yuju be my~ (a word play of 'would u be my') 54:57 Sowon (wish)

As for the tropical vibe of fever, there was a period where every group was making tropical sounding songs like gfriend did, similar to when they released mago and the trend was disco and everyone was doing similar concept.

GFriend really have some beautiful story on their music. Basically it started them as friends pure as Glass Bead. After having best time of their life they started to drift away. Eunha is the one who keep trying to run through time to try and fix it. But as she do so their bead keeps turning black (apple) and mago is where they fully accept the new them. There's more to it but this is the simpliest version of it.

In their glass bead märchen, they didn't wanted to be witches. It was the consequence of Eunha who use the last butterfly and still failed to save her friends. And at the end of that short book, they want revenge.

There are so many fan theories about the storyline of gfriend. and many believe that eunha is the main character in the storyline of the 'gfriend universe'. some say eunha is dead or The only one who is still alive is Eunha or eunha has a doppelganger and there are many more theories that fans believe. But there is one theory that is very popular, the storyline of gfriend is related to the power they each got in the lake (in the love whisper music video) and the power they got makes them jealous/envy of each other (from the navillera & fingertip music video) navillera (mv) is also the beginning of eunha's time journey to change the past so that they can make up again. cause it seems like time travel is eunha's power. sorry for my bad English 🙏🏻

This some Stupid theory from me for MAGO MV , and you should know all their MV have connection for the story... They're witches already... From the lines " I wanna ride a broom and Fly " as well as " 6960 magic" which refer to NGC6960 , the witch broom nebula. They wear glittering clothes because they ate the apple ( Apple MV describe apple to be glittering ). The music Video is about Sowon's attempt to save the girls , apparently , the rest of the members were burned at stake in apple MV , because apple MV is the start of the Walpurgis Night, a celebration of witches burned at the stake. In the apple MV , the hair burning Ritual shows the apples= Glass bead burning , except Sowon's , Because no one cut her hair at the back. 1. Sowon come to save rest of the girls , she enter the tunnel ( Symbolism that she's leaping through the time ) To save the girls who were burned at the stake in apple MV. 2. They dance in the moon ( Disco Ball ) Night , which is part of the Walpurgis Night festival , Yuju seems to be the Queen of that night , consistent with her being the only one with a CROWN in apple MV. That also explains the overwhelming number of mirrors in the MV , an object related to Yuju's Power. 3. We know that sowon obtained a unique ability from the bookstore owner ( Marchen Book ) , in the same way eunha got her Navilleras/butterflies. She used this ability to travel to the future ( Tunnel ) , where the people celebrate The Wlapurgis Night , where the rest of the burnt Member Re- appear ( This is a holiday ) , This is in the lyrics the girls can dance to the moon night again 2 years ago , on the night of april 30 ( european holiday for Walpurgis Night ) , Gfriend Release Time For the Moon night. 4. They were unsure and afraid of the future in TFTMN , but in MAGO , they are expecting the future , they are no more hesitant ( Hakuna Matata = No worries ) of which crossroad to take , as the lyrics suggest " Joy or Sorrow everything will be me ". 5. In the end , sowon managed to get them back and they went through the same tunnel , going back in time , this tunnel almost similiar to the tunnel in the sunrise. There is also a fish eye lens scene in the last dance Sequence , which is a glass bead shot, which is sowon glass bead ability , she can look the girl wherever they are through her glass bead , as revealed in in the marchen book. As well as sunny summer when eunha saw something through sowon jewelry ( The diamond she nearly swallowed ). This tell us that sowon , after meeting with the bookstore owner , can probably look at the girls in the future... Thats why she was able to locate the time line to go through. If eunha uses the power of the butterfly vis-a-vis, her power to create lucid dreams ( she goes back in time .. to the time she is last a sleep ) . Sowon can use the unique power vis-a-vis, her power to see the girls using the glass bead . The song lyrics also combination of their other song lyrics , esp. Navillera and fingertip. They're going back in time now .. opposite of the old GFRIEND that continuosly goes right by the ever so flowing concept of time. Hence the Railroad , Trains , Seasons , Bridges , And Trees. We get to see the most obvious indication of Twin Eunha and Sinb. They have been giving us hints of their " ONEness " in fingertip ( When Sinb astral projection comes out of Eunha ) , Love Whisper ( Yerin x Sinb which turns out to be Yerin x Eunha in navillera ) , TFTMN ( Couch Scene where sinb shadows Eunha , Choreo as well ) , Sunrise ( Fingertip ending eunha crying while a sleep , Sunrise Ending Sinb Crying While A sleep ) , Apple MV ( They Two Kissing The same apple ). This time , we actually see the two of them in similiar Outfits , Short hair , Same set Of earrings , And pearl Necklace. THEORY 1 My theory also is that not only are Eunha and Sinb Related .. but also Umji.. the scene at the start , where Umji and Sinb appear out of nowhere next to eunha just keeps bugging me. Then it occured to me how GFRIEND like using Greek Myth aa part of their Storyline ( Orion the hunter and artemis in Fingertip ) , ( Artemis and apollo in TFTMN ) , ( Ariadne and theeseus in labyrinth portion of apple ). Eunha , Umji , and Sinb reminded Me of the Greek of goddess of the night ( girls only meet at night / Dreams ). Witchcraft and Magic ( Apple Mv +magic grantedby the love whisper lake ) , and Crossroad ( Overall theme ) = HECATE She has 3 Faces that signify her dominion over the stars , The sea and The underworld , these face are each represented by Twin eunha + Sinb With Umji as the dividing line. Star : Eunha means Galaxy.. she is associated with Navillera ( Blue Butterfly of the Stars ) her butterflies in Apple Returned back to the stars . Underworld : Sinb is the one who tempted Eunha to bite the apple ( Devils temptation ) Sea : Umji paper boat in summer rain .. she is in Summer rain Outfit in the butterfly Effect , the Aquarium Scene in Crossroad When Umji got Rejected by Yuju. In eunha and sinb Kiss in apple MV , She is the apple ( MNET comeback Stage intro Where she has an apple on the Beambalance , as well as in concept Photos ). That divide the Stars ( Eunha ) and the underworld ( Sinb ) , The Sea pretty much divides The underworld and the Stars.
