26 years old with a 987 chewing through oil. Praying this will save me by the time it inevitably blows.

Yo nick, I am the co-owner of the tuner garage youtube channel, for the power steering pump situation we used a volvo/mazda/fomoco power steering pump with custom lines, just mount it on a bracket in the frunk run a pair of lines and make it start with the ignition switch, thats what we made for the track project 986 boxster with a K20z1. Its a bit noisy but besides that work flawless, the thing with the oem K series P/S pump is that besides robbing a bit of power its quite tall and it will for sure make you suffer a bit with the roof coming down, in our case with our sketchy home-made engine mounts tho. Looking forward this project. ALSO, the weight distribution changes A LOT with a K series vs the M96, we have had to do a metric ton of tinkering balancing the car so theres that too.

Just picked up a kswap mount kit for an MR2 spyder. Would love to see one come through your shop. Will be a mild build with DC drop in cams and RRC intake manifold and custom exhaust. Regards from NZ.

I had a vw kit car. With vw rabbit motor for awhile. Had huge engine bay. A turbo setup would have been interesting. I sold it long ago though.

If you have questions, i would reach out to eric hux at hux racing, he does the k swap into the mr2 and he might be able to point you in the right direction if you have questions.

upgrade your www please, as a customer I wish I have 1.easy access to one named product for example "k-swap 2008-2011 911 kit" 2. list of things in this kit, photos of them 3.some pdf visualization what goes where and instruction & list of things to do (to swap it) and approx. time of these steps this would make the whole experience easier, more interesting and therefore way popular !!! and it would make me buy it one day for sure!!!!

I have tried to get Nick to work with me on finishing our 996 project car for Sema but he is to busy. We had a beautifully restored 996 that we turned into a true 996 gt3. The motor wasn’t happy so we really wanted a k swap but that won’t ever happen so we got our hands on a real 996 gt3 motor from Europe and rebuilt it and it has been amazing. My point is for probably over $30,000 to do a k swap based on speed academy doing a k swap on a nc Miata doing so to a cayman or 911 just isn’t worth it. You can get cayman motors or if your cayman is running but has high miles you can have it rebuilt and it would be way better. These swaps are just gimmicks and that is my opinion now based on what I know and have seen, haven’t driven a k swap anything but a civic so hard to say. However, based on speed academy saying the Miata swap was over $30,000 you can buy a lot of really nice sports cars or use that as a down payment on something amazing.

Maybe start by explaining what is a K swap would make the rest of your presetation watchable.
