Thanks for this. Your video is the only one I found showing how to do this. I just posted my adventure with a 2017 GT. It is much longer, 27 min, and I did some things differently. Didn't feel comfortable supporting the front end under the engine pan. There is a plastic structure down there and it didn't look like it would support the bike. Also I likely dissembled way to much stuff to get at the shock. Thanks for posting.

Glad it helped. It's a pretty detailed process, but following the DVD Service Manual steps makes it reasonable.

It's FUN. I've been working with tools on everything from lawn mowers to heavy jet aircraft for 60yrs, but learning to work with video and then editing it has a pretty steep learning curve. There's more on the way...

This was done in March of 2015. BEST improvement I ever did to this bike. I could never get the turbulence and wind around my upper body under control and that's what led me to trade for my 2016 RTW.
