Kirk, I've been working on my setup for impact swing for about a year now. I live in Wisconsin and today I played my first round in 6 months. I shot a 78 on a par 71. My best round in 2 decades! I attribute this to your system. Thank you 😊

Superb video that encompasses much of the setup 4 impact principles in a simple and understandable way. Going to make a concentrated effort to adopt this method over the next few months (offseason here) based on this video.

I’ve been watching and saving numerous setup 4 impact videos and this one condenses your most important parts of the golf swing. I’m in my second week of recovery from total knee replacement of the left knee having had the same surgery on the right knee 18 months ago. I was able to try your setup technique a little over 3 weeks ago at the range and almost immediately felt like this is the best option for me at the age of 72. I can see and feel the speed at impact changing from that one session. When I’m able to start the mini swing I will concentrate on these 4 basic steps in this excellent video. Thank you Kirk and if you have any suggestions for knee replacement students I’d be very grateful. Grant

Kirk - thanks for this video series. As a Setup4Impact school alumni I have seen how adopting your system has led to the improvement I was looking for. I broke 90 this year but I still have a ways to go and plan on using this series to walk me thru a review and keep my progress moving forward with my indoor practice using drills 1 and 2. Expect to see some videos from me using the V1 app so I can get feedback and make sure the practice I am doing will produce the kind of impact I am looking for. Keep them coming!

Excellent info!!! I just got back from the 3 day school in Florida with Kirk and WOW, what a difference this has made in my game. I'm so much more confident in my swing and can't wait to take this to the course when the weather permits.

Was fun working with you Kevin. I know you will do well. Hope the bad weather avoids you this week.

I like to get into the impact fix position before I swing, during the practice swings. I stop and look at my position before the swing, which reinforces getting to the right impact. By the way, nice sox.😊

That is a good routine. Was going to scrap the whole video because of the sock, but decided who cares!! It is about the info. LOL

Hey Kirk, maybe next time do it with both socks and you can say you were channeling your inner Payne Stewart, one of my favorite golfers.

Kirk did you ride a push bike to the course as your RH trouser leg is tucked into your sock. Or your trying to start a new fashion trend. lol "The Junge tucked look."

Hi Steve, I have found that it gives me an extra 10 yards of distance on my drives. ;)

What numbers per 9 holes and 18 holes are good for “decent golf” for those 65 and over? What type, range of scores?
@atfinthehouse8631 Жыл бұрын
65 years old and older!
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
Decent golf means different things to different people depending on their current level of play. It also matter what course you play and from which tee markers. For some shooting under 100 is the goal, for others 90, and others under 80.
@danielbleininger6785 Жыл бұрын
Don't forget to line your shoulders, hips,etc on a line parallel to the target line.
@atfinthehouse8631 Жыл бұрын
What is “decent golf”? Can you please define? I like that you address these steps, and single plane swing and simplifying golf. After that it is all repetition repetition repetition.
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
Each person can have their own opinion as to what "decent" golf would be. Most however do not think that their game is decent. Some feel that under 100 is "decent", others 90, ...... It is all relative to each golfer, and their own experience. For me I feel like I have to shoot under par for it to be a "decent" round, unless the course is brutally difficult, or the weather was bad.... To each his own...
@atfinthehouse8631 Жыл бұрын
This is true. Also probably makes a difference how often you golf, and how long you have been golfing. But there are millions of golfers, so wonder what the average, occasional recreational golfer does for a “decent” round of golf. Handicaps only provide limited picture as most golfers don’t become part of USPGA and get a handicap. But there are millions and hundreds of millions of scores each year and over the year, where we can know benchmarks. Me, if I hit fairways on drives and with any additional approach shot or two or three 80-90% of time; keep out of water hazard or a sand trap for a round, and 1 or 2 put each hole, that for me would be a decent round. After nearly 30 years away from golf and just getting back, I’m not there yet. Keep up the good work in videos. But I would hazard a guess that many other golfers and your subscribers are wondering the same thing and what your opinions would be on this. Thanks.

I want to implement these alignment strategies and take my time, but once the ball picker cart goes out, all bets are off. Machine gun low pulls into that poor guy.....I'm an adult supposedly......
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I know. It is difficult not to shoot at that poor guy, or girl. With hitting a moving target though it sure can be fun!!!

In the minimalist single plane you told us to bump the hips closed at Adress. You Said ”it created room for the downswing” Why did you stop teaching that? I’ve been closing those hips at adress alot, but been questioning that lately that’s why I’m asking…
@Setup4Impact2 жыл бұрын
The closed hips were great for those who sliced the ball for many years, but not for everyone. For people who hook, or draw the ball too much it will not help. So Setup 4 Impact is built upon the Minimalist concept, which allows for such customizations. If someone is slicing and can’t get rid of it then I will go in that direction.
