Funny story. My son's golf coach kept "encouraging" (bugging) me to learn the 2 plane style he was teaching my son. I told him single plane/Setup4impact was easier on my back and I was hitting far enough for me. He would say, "You will want to switch. That isn't going to work for you." He and I played a round together awhile back. After the front nine he said, "I was surprised how well you did on the front nine. I guess there are a lot of ways to hit a ball." He was smiling as he said this because of me refusing to switch. Now, everytime we see each other and he sees me hitting, He says, "Mister. You are consistent. Nice hitting." I encourage you to really work Kirk's method. It will take some effort but it will be worth it. I was ready to quit. Now I am ready to play...with confidence. Thanks Kirk.

I love the simplicity of your teaching and the details you provide to help create very rapid results. I had been trying to implement the single-plane method through other resources but wasn’t having much success. I came across your channel and started trying your method from the beginning drills, and I’ve never hit the ball with such consistency. I’m 66 and have played golf on and off all my life with little to no improvement. I’m so encouraged after discovering your methods. I wish you had schools out west at some point on you schedule, I would love to attend a live teaching session. Thank you Kirk

When I started the method, I kind of skipped through drills, especially the short swings, and then spent hours half-ass implementing it. To actually have the hands leading at impact vs just doing the classic amateur hand flip+early release took some practice. But it works, and I just go back to the short swings every warm-up and go from there.

Great video Coach Kirk. I’ve been watching and using your method. I flush my irons and wedges. They sound so different when I hit them. I’m 56 and the younger guys can’t keep up with my distance. They are surprised when I tell them. I’m 56 years old and only been playing golf for 8 years. Thanks.

Great information Kirt , I do stack and tilt , but iam gonna set up for impact, and do your drills, I’ve been practicing in Spain for 3 weeks with ulnar deviated hands ( high hands) and hit the ball really well 👌🏌🏿

what you started at 7:15 was some of the best info i have ever come across! i have always been a single plane player, but i could never get the lag just right to connect the power in my core and bottom half. by following your video, i just did a session where my 9 iron was going 145 where previously that was the realm of my 6 or 7 iron. i could swing back to 9 or 10 o'clock and get the same distance as i was before with a full swing with the proper lag/tempo. thanks kirk, this lesson was solid gold!!

Kirk - what benefits did you gain by switching to the Jumbomax grips and which model and size are you using.
@Setup4Impact
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
I feel that I can hold on much easier throughout the golf swing. A normal grip just moves a bit in the hand, while these do not. You can get too fat of a grip too which is also difficult to hold on. My recommendations are on my FAQ page at setup4impact.com/faq/ Let me know if you have any questions after visiting.

Hi Kurt I cannot swing up only around my body, brcause of a bad shoulder can the set up for impact swing work for a flat swing?
@Setup4Impact
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
It works for any type swing because the club will move through impact on plane with the trailing forearm. So setting up that way makes it easier to be consistent.

6:33 I enjoy your videos. Many ways to be successful playing golf. Does this swing change the clubs lie angle needed? Thanks

Your lie angle should have been set for your impact plane Unless you now stand much closer or farther from the ball, if your lie angles were correct before, there would be no reason to change them. Kirk is simply having you set up on the same plane you have been making impact on. Tony Griffin Setup4Impact Master Instructor Sanford, NC

Hi Kirk Is the method consistent across irons and driver? For the online school, is there a specific practice plan? I am surprised at the number of videos you allow for this plan (2 a day) and not sure if that is good thing or not😅 Thanks!

We use the same concept for woods, irons, driver, chipping, pitching..... There is a step by step learning system and you can also see my main practice session. The 2 videos per day is for you to submit videos. It is very rare that someone submits videos that often, but sometimes in the beginning people will do so a few days in a row. So it is in place for that.

That lifting or straightening of lead leg seems like a conventional swing move. Doesn’t that require really good timing?
@Setup4Impact
@Setup4Impact Жыл бұрын
It is the easiest way to create great impact. Without it you would have to rotate your body more, and stand up through impact which is far more difficult to time. Straightening the leading leg is a natural move much like throwing a ball, or hitting a baseball.
