Hi, I've recently purchased one of these backpacks and have to say, my dog and I love it. He's a dog that doesn't fuss about anything and trusts me and knows that whatever I do with him I'm not doing it to hurt him so when I placed him in it he was as happy as Larry! I kept it on for 1/2 hour and he was fine. I suffer from back pain but when he was on my back it was so comfortable and I was shocked! I've got the pack with the bag that you attached to the front and have the block for extra height or comfort. I have a shih tzu who is bigger than the average shih tzu so opted for a large and it fits perfectly! I'm taking him out for a bike ride to see how he reacts. I'm so happy it has the hoop thingy to clip his collar to because he's a dog if he sees another dog he wants to go and greet it but charges at them which can seem alarming but now I have this backpack he'll have to look and not sniff lol. My husband and I love to go out he on his mobility scooter and me on my ebike and we'd have to leave him at home which we didn't like but now with the backpack, he's coming everywhere we go! What I love about it also is once he's positioned properly on my back there is no pain to my back. I can also take him into shops that don't allow dogs for the obvious reasons but now it's all happening and I can't wait lol. Sweet video and good info. I am going to measure my Chloe and get one for her. She will love it! Fyi if you don't have one already they sell nice collapsible bowls for Water/food you can clip on to your bag i have them in hiking packs and in each car

dirteveryweekend Thanks for checking into it! Yeah we have those bowls and they are convenient. We also have a water bottle for dogs that has a little drink nozzle on the end that you release water into! The dog bag is a fun thing!

Are you able to fit a bike lock say a kryptonite U-lock in that bag without harming the dog?

She pretty much fills it up these days, we might need to go up a size, but it could be possible to fit some things in the water bottle pockets on the sides of the bag. Thanks for watching!

Sam S she seems pretty content in it at all times. Now that we have used it more and have it dialed in, her positioning is more upright and she seems to actively have her paws on our shoulders and her head up higher. Everything we do with her is less than an hour too FWIW.

I came here for the backpack information. I can see from being on you tube that more and more people are using these for biking including motor cycling. More and more dogs are going to be injured or worse. So irresponsible and self indulgent. I am a mountain biker as well and would never consider forcing my dog to be on my back while I'm involved in a precarious sport.

I can’t speak for those using this for moto riding. Obviously individuals need to excercise a sense of responsibility. I would never use this on technical single track MTBing either. As you can see in the video, we were riding fatbikes on local cinder trails, I think it’s a safe application if you’re a competent rider. But I agree, looking out for your animal is important. Of course any time you take you dog in the car or on a walk there is an element of potential danger. Thanks for checking it out!!
