What does raw German steel mean? Is it like 440a equivalent?
@TheKnifeLifeChannel Жыл бұрын
I'm not entirely sure in this context. They refer to this knife using "raw German 1095 Cro-Van steel" on their website. Typically a raw steel is anything that doesn't have alloying elements, so 1095 would be a "raw" steel, CPM154 would not. My guess is that they are using it as a way to say its non-stainless.

Raw German Steel means it is 1095 cro-van that comes to us unprocessed in bulk form in sheets.

Hi. Still love your channel. Q1. Have you done a vid on different quality tanto blades? Both assisted & unassisted. Q2. I don't see a vid on the very discreet fully automatic Swiss "Flic-Flac" Spring open & operated by a subtle leather handle/lanyard @ the back of the knife & opened by the back 1-2 fingers of the gripping hand. Most original & strong switchblade or OTF design I've seen in the 70-90s & still made in CH (Switzerland not China). SO subtle that they'd pass customs easily pre TSA rules. Keep up the great vids!

Thank-you for your continued support! I haven't done a video on different tanto blades. I'm looking at doing a historical video on the Tanto not too far down the road. I'm not familiar with the Swiss "Flic-Flac," I'll be sure to look into it.

Those are KILLER BLADES!! There needs to be a new model that has a Bar in involved in the creation story like the original. With this knife I K A Bar in a life&death battle. Maybe for the 200th anniversary lol. Killer blades&killer vid!!

Very knife. But your camera angles are strange. You have the camera pointing straight up at you which makes you look giant and straight down at the other guy which makes you look giant lol maybe you are a giant in which case you need to work on those camera angles. Hope you don't mind the constructive criticism?

No, the angles are weird. This was the first interview I did at the show and I was improvising with what I had. I learned as I went and they should get better as I release the other interviews

125 years and you still have a crap heat treat and an even crappier warranty.
