Ka-Bar TDI Knives and Custom Kydex Sheaths

Thank you for the great and well done video you made. I will be ordering one of your Black Bear sheaths for my TDI/Hinderer Hellfire shortly. The TDI/Hinderer Hellfire and the TDI/Hinderer Hinderance are made in the U.S. They list for $111.85 on the Ka-Bar website, but i bought mine for $82.81 from Blade HQ. The blade is1095 Cro-Van. There is a great video with TDI's John Benner who explains why the TDI/Hinderer knives were made and how to use them. It is a 7' 42" video - just look up John Benner TDI on KZbin to view it.

Love the hinderer sheath, have you considered a locking mechanism. The main point of that sheath is the fact that it locks to prevent the suspect from grabbing a knife.

I don't do locks by default, but it's certainly a feature the customer can add! I've done quite a few now.

Are you able to do one of your locking sheaths for the Ka-Bar TDI/Hinderer Hinderance? I'd love to have the extra security for my knife when I carry it on duty.

I've never tried it, but I know I can do it. Better still, I'm able to add a slide lock, similar to the factory ESEE 5 sheath. That would go much better with the TDI and the pancake style sheaths I make for them. What do you think?

Awesome video! Looks like a perfect kydex. I am getting the hinderer hinderance and will be looking for a kydex sheath. Do you do taco style for IWB carry?

I like you sheaths, but you are charging $65 for the sheath for a knife that cost $35. Sorry... but I am not paying that for the product. Good luck in your business model.

The knife price has nothing to do with how the sheath is made. A sheath with all the bells and whistles will cost the same for a $9 MTech as it does for a $400 custom knife. TDI sheaths have been at the top of my seller list for 3 years now, so the model seems to be working
