Awesome idea with the ankle set up, but seems like alternate sizes would be good. Great work man!!

Hi Dale, I'll get to you very soon, I promise. I get around 75 emails a day and am pretty far behind. I'll search for yours, just hang tight! Thanks!

On 31 March 2020, I received my package which you see in the KZbin video entitled “Ka-Bar TDI Hellfire Sheaths.” The handsome and effective sheaths were made for the Ka-Bar TDI/Hinderer Hellfire Knife. That knife was a collaboration of John Benner, president of the Tactical Defense Institute, and custom knife maker and owner of Hinderer Knives, Rick Hinderer. The design of this DEFENSIVE knife was a low-profile, fixed blade knife for law enforcement and others that could be quickly and efficiently drawn in times of duress. It is designed to be worn on the offhand side forward of the hip. Some would use the term “weak” side. Since I am left-handed, I wear the Hellfire on my right side. It enables me to keep my weapon, namely when someone tries to grab my gun (held in my left hand) and therefore it allows me to prevent the attacker from using lethal force against me. BBCK designed the sheath so that that when I wear it on my right side, it is held securely with the handle canted rearward for a forward grip. The custom designed sheaths made by Micah (BBCK) were perfect; I am so pleased with your work. For the ankle mount, the Ka-Bar Hellfire would be mounted on the inside of my left leg which also would allow me to draw with my right hand or my left hand in a reverse grip. My backup gun is mounted on the inside of my right leg for a left-hand draw. Ka-Bar makes the Hellfire in the United States, so its cost is higher than if it were made offshore. The sheath that comes with it, is made in Korea. I note that there is a 7 minute 42 second KZbin video narrated by John Benner. It is entitled “Ka-Bar TDI Knife Demo by John Benner of Tactical Defense Institute” who explains TDI knives in detail. In that video as well, there’s another TDI instructor who clearly demonstrates the use of a fixed blade compared with a folding knife.
